For installing tint, do they have a problem with the windows being down a bit like this or do they have to "trick" them for the install?

They 'trick' them, that's where I saw them do it.

what about not rolling them down for a few days and the auto down when the door opens... does that mess with it?

No...it will be fine.

What felt did you use? I used the industrial and it has been hot this summer and I haven't run into any problems.

Like ttbit said, it'll be fine as long as you don't roll it all the way down.

I have a question.

I just got my 05 mustang windows tinted and they didn't install the moleskin on the window channel. I have not rolled down the windows yet because I do not want them to scratch. Do the windows have to be down for the window channel to be removed or can the windows be up?

Not positive, but I can't see why the track can't be pulled out while the window is up.

Yeah I'm going to try it and see how it works out.

I am going to use moleskin and not felt though since I live in the hot Arizona heat.

Any ideas how to get the outside channel off? Someone damaged mine.
Picked up a replacement but the front of it has a barb....?

Im guessing maybe the exterior rear view mirror has to come off...??
