Yep, I put Pioneer 6x8's in place of the stock ones in my Shaker 1000, sounds much better. The sound is even cleaner than it was and blows away the Pioneer setup I had in my Ranger. Now I just need to get a little more bass out of the subs.

I wonder if you can replace the sub's in the shaker1000 with better quality units. Use the same amp and box but just better speakers?

Of course you could... but those amps sure aren't worth saving either! New speaker drivers will make an immediate improvement, but start saving up for some decent amps as well! IMO
