Need Help with VVME HID kit
Need Help with VVME HID kit
Hey all, I got myself one of those VVME HID kits last week, h13, bixenon, you know the deal. Anywho I just spent a few hours installing the kit and it doesnt work. I watched the installation video on stangmods for their kit and they say not to touch the bulbs because it could render them useless. I touched the bulbs before I saw that video
That being said, how can I be certain that the bulbs are the problem? is it possible that the ballasts dont work also?

Goes without saying, but did you double check all the connections? Do you have some pics maybe? Have you contacted the vendor you got it from. While touching the bulbs is bad. That would not cause the issue with a ballast. You need to pull the bulbs out and look at them. They turn brown inside when burnt out. It's pretty obvious.
BTW its the oil on your hands that damage the bulbs. Shortens the lifespan. Will cause them to burst. As a general rule with any HId, Xenon, or halogen capsule type bulb whether it be for your shop lite, flood lights on your house, or cabinet lights inside your house should not be touched. I usually use a clean rag when handling them.

I had to flip the harness around. If you went color to color it will not work, at least on mine it didn't. Flip the harness that goes into the lamps around. Also I noticed that they would not work unless the car was running.
Good luck
Good luck
