So how hard is the install on the VVME HIDs (headlights)

I really want to buy, but if its a hard install I might reconsider...

 

actually the stock bulbs are H10's. i just took my bulbs out and doublechecked.

 

took 20 minutes in total

 

So the headlights were very straight forward?

 

yes. plug and play for the most part. only have to tap or cut and solder 3 wires

 

Did you get this resolved?

Its not to hard to hook up these VVME HID conversion kits, I've done a few and no big deal so far. I just taped into the factory wiring/connector as I did not want to cut the connector off in case I wanted to restore to original. Curious though as to why the hi/low would stop working...................Do you have a bad relay or loose connected relay?

 

its been less than 24 hours lol gimme some time to work on it haha i still need help with fogs

headlights and foglights are worknig as HID's baby

the hi/low connector isnt worknig right however. i hear it click, but the balalsts arent moving anymore. anyone got any ideas?

 

My bad, I was requoting bad info on this page...plus the sylvania website has them listed at H11's!

 

no problem. i got em worknig anyweay. involved adding in a relay that wasnt suppliedwith the kit, and using the other headlight connector that wasnt used for the headlight kit

 

Mind taking photos of yourset up? I'm planning on doing this next year when I get my Tax returns

 

How did you patch the extra relay in?

I've got a similar problem, but only on the driver's side. Passenger side flips fine, driver's side doesn't twitch (it was working initially). Double checked the wiring, nothing seems wrong.

 

I hope you don't smell smoke and or are covered

 

For what? It's an electromagnet not getting power, nothing dire.

 

So which ones are better, the vvme's or the first ebay link at the begining of this thread ???

 

I did it so all 4 come on at once. headlights on, fogs are on. i bypassed the foglight switch. the way i did it was i spliced the power wire from the drivers side headlamp connector and tied 2 wires into it. one to go to power for the ballast and one to goto power for the relay. obviously i cut the connectors for the H10 socket off to do this on the HID kit. for the drivers side light i wired the ground for the balalst to the fround wire from the headlamp connector. The drivers side foglight is now powered.

As for the pass side i wired the ground and power for the light ti the relay. I ran a ground from the relay to the car, and power for the relay directly to the battery. Now the pass side Foglight is pwoered as well. and your done


In retrospect, although i havent tried this to be accurate it would work, what i would do to keep the foglight switch active and worknig, is get 2 automitive relays and wire according to this crude diagram i whipped up.





VVME's are worknig fine for me

 

sfter some quick research i found out that the link in the begging and vvme are both the same company.So preety much dosent matter which one you get they are both from the same vendor
