Hows it going guys. As far as I know everything is still on time and we should be receiving the first shipment soon. I will check back wth another update sometime this week and try to get some hard evidence of an exact date. Thanks for your patience so far!

Very cool. I just hope I have a place in line since all I got from them was an order confirmation. No other emails or credit card activity like others have.

Is it just me or is there a page or two of this thread missing? I know for a fact that I and a few others have posted since the projected release date of April 5th.

Hawgman - the site crashed and had to be moved. They lost everything from the middle of March on.

Since part of the thread here got toasted in the last crash - I'll give a little background. Someone had said that shipping charges for this grill were something on the order of $40 (which is outrageous in my opinion).

I just went to the Late Model Restoration website:
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com

Put the grill in my shopping cart and clicked on estimate shipping.

The estimator came up with a weight of 25# (sounds a little high) and a cost of $16.74 to ship it about 1200 miles from Hewitt Texas to MInneapolis MN.

That shipping price I can live with.

The website does say this about the grill:

* * This item will be on backorder until mid-April. As soon as we recieve stock we will begin shipping immediately. Pre-order your grille today so you wont be left out! * *

So basically they haven't changed the grill status on the web site since February

I got this the last friday. I posted it but it was lost during the crash..

Dear Customer,

These are all in the process of being sent to us. I just got off the phone with our supplier. He told me they are on a container ship coming from over seas. There is no accurate time frame we can put on this because depending on customs time at port widely varies. I appologize this inconvenience. Despite what has been said on the forums, this is not hype, and this was not to gauge interest. These grills have been made and your order is enroute. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much.

I am the one that posted the shipping charges of $45 and that was quoted to me on the phone. If I get the grill sent to me here in Canada it is $60.

I was not able to find shipping charges on their website. I am just going to wait until the hype has settled down. The law of supply and demand is not going to screw me this time like it usually does

I actually got a call from 50Restomod.com, to tell me about the progress of my order .He said the grill should be in very shortly, and it will be sent out immediately once it arrives. Hopefully the grill should be here soon. I can't wait.

Hey Randy, I'm sorry, the web address is actually 50resto.com. I always have called it 50restomod.com. Sorry for the confusion.
