I'm In for both, From the first time I saw it I knew it was the intake I was going to install. I have been talking with them for over a week now on when the ram box will be ready.

I've been looking at this intake since the first picture was posted as well!.. Looks sweeeeeeeet And I added my name to the list.

Does anyone know if anything needs to be drilled (IE for the coolant tank relocation etc... / cut to install this intake (like MAF wiring) ?

I'm planning to keep my car for a long time, and would like to be able to convert it back to stock.

Thanks

MAF wiring needs to be spliced with an extension...

however, if you want to put it back to stock....no biggie..its just extra wire you can tuck away.

And if there are holes that have to be drilled for the coolant tank relocate....they'd be covered up by the airbox if you put it back to stock.

Is the 19.4hp gain from just regular intake or the ram air?

WMS is claiming 19.4 rwhp gain with the intake alone. They hope to have real world test #s posted of the intake w/ram by the end of this week.

Hey Mike,

yes that would be fine to extend the deadline. Looks like we won't
have the good pictures done until early next week.

We started our install today and I have been thinking about this splice that needs to be done. My idea for a cheap solution to hacking up the stock wiring is this. Thursday I will have new OEM Ford Mass air plugs here for testing. If all goes well you wont have to actually cut your stock wiring. You can use these plugs and splice connectors into the stock wiring. This will allow you a longer mass air wiring harness without ever cutting off the stock one. When you decide to take off the air intake you just pull off the splice connectors and you are done. No cut wires. All looks good on paper but we will see Thursday.

FYI dont forget we will have dyno tuning and our other testing complete Monday.

Thumbs down

Perhaps WMS could toss one of these . . .

WPT795 Motorcraft Number
or
3U2Z14S411FJAA Ford Parts Counter Part Number

in each of our orders so we can add splice connectors or even spade lug connectors to the bare ends and create our own extensions per BRENSPEED's suggestion.

I have an X-2 and the WMS w/ ram tray. Will you sell just the tune? If so, how much?
