You know I am always up for tuning new intakes.

You know I am always up for tuning new intakes.

Mark,
How close are you to Leesburg, IN.? How's about stopping by Brenspeed for a little R&D tune-up?
I knew we would make it gentlemen!!
Im ready when they.
Thanks again for the work blackhat, you da' man
I'll take mine next day air, let me know if I can call them tomorrow. As we spoke, I have a date w/ the dyno the day after I get it. Will post before & after swap numbers, and even with a JDM SCT tune.
Might even test it on a friends 05 GT w/ a saleen blower if time permits
That would be interesting...

I'm new to this section. Usually stay in the exterior mods forum. How hard might it be to get this intake to work with the RKSport California Dream Hood? They'd seem like a natural pair if the hood's outlet wasn't over by the stock air intake. Just curious...
Been watching from the stands for a while, but just had to get in on this one.
I happened to be in Calgary on Monday and dropped by the WMS shop. They had a number of intakes in stock and Shannon was happy to break one of the kits open to show me all the pieces. My overall impression was very good
- ie the kit looks very complete with good quality components.
The MAF adapter is a substantial billet aluminum piece with the WMS initials lightly engraved into it and the filter head looks very much like a K&N product. I also liked the look of the Coolant Reservoir relocation pieces - nice bushing and a solid aluminum bracket.
The whole thing appears like it would be a very easy install.
Having said all that, they didn't have a 2005 in the shop with one installed....boo !!! That's what I had really hoped to see.
They also had the prototype Ram Air Box (the one shown on the website) in the shop fitted onto a 2005 body shell they are working on as a project car. It was obviously a development piece, but the fit up looked pretty good and the plastic was at least as good as the Ford rad cover (well perhaps that's not saying much?).
I would like to reserve final judgement until I see the whole setup installed, but throw me in on the Group Buy (intake + ram air). The 20% offer from WMS is just too good to pass up.

That thought has crossed my mind. I am about 45 minutes away from Brenspeed.
It's great that you all hit the numbers....
We should start compiling a list of people that are interested in the group buy.
How does everyone want to do this?
Can we get Shannon to compile a list and you all send your info to him?
Whatever is easiest for you guys.

Morning all!
I just sent Shannon/WMS an e/m asking how he wanted to set up this list. He originally asked for us to submit to him one list with everyones name on it and this list would be sent to him once the deadline is reached and getting in on the group buy is closed. Then we would each call individually to place our orders as normal but mention the list when ordering and he'd check us off and give us the discount. That being said, there are folks here that want to order right away and secure one and I don't wish anyone getting delayed from ordering by waiting for the list. So I'm not sure how to proceed. Like Boomer said we should just start the list of definites.
Thoughts?

I'm a definate, but I have a friend that is waiting on his 06 to arrive and wants this intake. He should get his car w/in a couple of weeks, and he wants to know how long the group buy lasts. So my question is, how long do we have before we stop taking names for the group discount?

Good to hear Justin
I haven't received from Shannon/WMS the date the group buy closes. I'd imagine it'd be shortly after they post final pics and report on their real world test results. I suggest your friend, if they know they are a definite, to buy it now and just set it aside until their car comes in.
As soon as I know the date the group buy closes I'll post it.
Mike
I was wondering if the discount would have continued past the 10, most GP's lock in on a certain number, hence the benefit of taking advantage of the discount during the GP.
Im looking forward to this intake for some reason....

If we all commit to a canned tune for the WMS from Brent perhaps he'd provide a discount. Maybe we could all make a small contribution for your dyno time too for being the test mule.
Just a thought . . . .

Thanks Mike. I appreciate it. And that is definately good advice for him. Sounds like a simple solution and I can't believe I didn't think to tell him that!
