I was hoping to see a final pic of the product with the air box installed. But I really like the concept and look forward to giving it a go!

Pete,

Thanks for generating this poll! I'm in.

Kirk,

Shannon/WMS said they should have pics up of the final product installed by later this week. Even if it does look like the prototype that's ok with me cause the filter will be taking up most of the space

Ok, I'm in . . . . preferably with a group order of ten at the 20% discounted price of $359.20

Now all we need to do is get Doug at Bama Chips or Brent at Brenspeed to cook us a tune!

Don't forget you'd have to add tax...I just took the % off base price.
So judge accordingly

Also..the price @ 20% is still wicked (for us canucks in ontario, it'll basically be a 5% discount off of list price (15% sales tax blows)

-----------------

Also just quick question on a group buy...

...do they bill us individually and ship to us individually?
Never done a group buy before.

OUCH on the sales tax but hey, you have great health care!

I'll ask about the logistics of the group buy. Never did one before either.

I have a feeling that the tune I am using from Doug now will work well with this one. But some Dyno time will be in order to check out the A/F.

I think that thses will fit nicely in the engine bay since they include the necessary hardware to relocate them.

I'm confused. Today I ordered an MRT Cold Air Intake, mostly because of Boomers' review & photos. I haven't seen anything on a WMS intake.

What's up?

Since we live in Ontario and not Calgary, we only have to pay GST (7%), we won't have to pay PST (8%). So it's like a 13% discount

But Boomer I am confused, you just purchased the MRT intake ? I know this one does look very cool, which is why I've been holding out. I want to see some final pics / #s before I commit to the group buy! Very likely I'll be in on it though!

Count me in for both the filter and Ram Air.I still would like to see some recent dyno hp/tq numbers from WMS and yes a picture of the finished Ram Air box would be nice to see also.If the discount prices hold to be true then it's a good bang for the buck without needing a custom tune or a tuner at all.

I'm not so smart so I need to see something before I'm willing to do anything with it. Need pic and stats before I'll commit to anything (hehe...told my girlfriend that and she laughed...).

John,

I think I know the post you're referring to. In it, you asked four questions and being a rookie to this myself it looked to me that Kirk (nbk13nw) answered them. Which one would you like more info on? Please let me know and I'll try and find out the answer for ya

Here's some info which may help and hopefully addresses your outstanding question.. just a stab in the dark that this is the one not answered:

From WMS website:

"Both power and torque and increased all across the rpm range with a peak rwhp gain of 19.4 and peak torque gain of 15.1. We only rev'd the engine to 5900 rpm with the stock computer as power drops off - at 5800 rpm our intake gained 28 rwhp over the stock setup. With a programmer in increase the rpm capability there are futher increases available. Note these runs are on a Mustang Chassis Dyno so power numbers are lower than found on Dynojets"

RE: TUNE

This set up does not require a tune since it does not mess with the A/F ratio. From the WMS website:

"Here is a trace from the Mustang Dyno datalogger. Air / fuel ratio shown in red and is virtually identical between the baseline run and the run with the WMS Intake. Most flash programmers lean out the air / fuel ratio to make more power and this is still safe to do with our intake system. Note the stock setup goes very rich at high rpm in an effort to keep drivers from revving the engine to high, with the High Velocity Intake this was not as bad."

And finally, the link to where these dyno charts can be seen: WMS DYNO SHEETS

Something confusing me here. Their numbers state 235whp stock... I don't think I've ever seen a car that low. Then it becomes 254.4? By my calculations that’s 292.56HP. Isn't that less then stock? I'm kind of confused.
