Windage Tray kit??

I found this windage tray kit at rpmoutlet. Has anyone tried it? I can't imagine that it gives an extra 15 - 18 hp.

Canton is the one of the best there is, and yes those hp numbers would probably be about right.

Do 2005+ stangs have a windage tray stock? If they do, I wonder how much better this one could be.

I don't believe those gains on the 3V motor. The crank isn't running thru the oil in the pan. The oil pan, stock or aftermarket, has a baffle which prevents the splashing around of the oil. The windage tray just keeps extra oil off of the crank. I'm not saying a windage tray doesn't work with this motor. I am saying that I doubt those gains with one though.

That's what happens when rods snap and fly around the inside of the engine.

i'm selling one on ebay if your interested. sorry no link but do a search for windage tray ford 4.6 and it should come up. i'll get another one when i build the 5.4 but i just didn't want to pull the pan now. it is better then the stock tray since the stock one doesn't return oil to the pan as well. this one has the diamond stripper stuff on it to "scrape" up the oil flinging around the crank. oh yeah it's a lot cheaper too!!!

is that the aluminum block? i still have to find out what if anything is different on the 5.4 3V block.i know the 3V 4.6 has a different motor mount bolt pattern. wonder if it's the same on the 3V 5.4? anyway since i put the front suspension on and dropped a bit of weight i don't have any concerns about adding 100 lbs. or so for the factory block but aluminum sure would be nice especially if it's got the big bore sleeves then it will go out to about 370 cid with a stroker crank. with 11.5 :1 compression, good cams and headwork it should make well over 400rwhp and buttloads of torque.
