My 06GT almost lost to a Trailblazer SS....

that had a 150hp shot of juice. On a closed course reserved for racing we went from a 10mph roll and I had him by a car length or two going to about 100mph. Didn't know he had juice at the time, figured just a blower. He was a cool guy and said that he hasn't lost to any new Mustangs....till now he he. He said he ran a 12.73 @ 109 which is slightly faster than my best time but he also has AWD and was able to cut a 1.7x short time. I am thinking my car still has a little in it as is seeing as how I was pulling on him. Who knows, going back to the track on Wednesday.

Cheers

Yikes. 550 fwhp?! Watch out for that guy, Konrad. Let's hope he doesn't head to Milan anytime soon. I'm still reeling from that SRT Jeep that ran a 13.4

Ask him to race on a road with sharp curves.

Lol, yeah still got him on the straight away so I'm happy with the outcome.

OK ******* I'm talking about the aftermarket crowd. Not bhp ratings from factory. They still aren't accurate FROM FACTORY. If you want to pull your motor and put it on an engine dyno then talk about how much bhp you have, fine, have fun.

I actually don't care about rwhp either... it's irrelevant. All I care about is ETs. Personally, I want to run mid 11s with as little hp as possible.

Hey Don,

what's the point where you are required to install a roll cage? That's about how fast I'd like my car to be, but I don't wanna go to that extent.

Per NHRA rules, 11.49 and under requires a 6-pt roll bar (13.49 for convertibles). A 12-pt roll cage is required for 9.99 and below, or greater than 135mph.

I was spanked by a blazer last week at the track. Most embarassing, until we stopped at the timing shack and I could hear it idle - wow what a camshaft he had in that thing . Prolly a power adder as well, didn't see him around in the pits afterwards.
