WHIPPLE ..Which tuner kit to buy?
WHIPPLE ..Which tuner kit to buy?
We were going to rebuild the motor this winter. Since I blew the motor last month, we decided to do the build now.
We want to do something a bit different and build up our own version of a Whipple Blower, from the looks and performance stand point.
We can get a dealers discount from Ford on parts.
So I would like to buy from Ford, but this idea is not set in stone. If someone can offer me a better price, my money is yours!
A long time friend who owns an engine and chassis shop near O’Hare Airport in Chicago has offered to do all the hard work. He has 30 years experience build motors and chassis's. He has run Mustangs all his life and currently has a Cobra that runs in the low 9's.He does some custom work for the Air Force and people that build and race planes. His machine shop can custom bent up to 6" inch thick-walled aluminum tubing.
So the piping for the heat exchanger is no problem.
With the info provided below,
QUESTION?? Which Whipple Blower Kit should I purchase?
I already have in my possession the following…
· (8) HTzero plugs NEW
· (2) GT 500 Fuel Pumps NEW **Iwould need the harness and the drivers
·(8) 60 lb/hr Injectors NEW Flow bench tested
· I have BOTH a Diablo and A SCT II tuners
· NEW Heat Exchanger "Fluidyne style" but bigger and with a better flow/cool rate. "YES" it will fit a 2005 Mustang GT. One has already been installed on a 2005 EX V6 turned drag car. It will need custom tubing but, making the tubing is not a concern at this shop.
Again, I am seeking info on which kit to buy and from whom? If, you can answer the why, that would be a bonus!!
Thank you for your time
