Steeda Bumpsteer Install Problem
Steeda Bumpsteer Install Problem
So I made the mistake of leaving my 05 GT at a local shop to do the install of the steeda bumpsteer and x-2 ball joints. They called me and said that the ends were too long and they had to cut off around 1/4-inch of the thread to get the toe in spec on the left side. Normally, I stay to watch any work that is done [if I don't do it myself].
Forget the extra money they demanded for this with an explanation of "custom parts sometimes require custom work".
Can anyone chime in with any ideas of what is really wrong?
Car seems to drive fine, but the steering wheel is turned right slightly.

I installed the Steeda Bumpsteer on my '07 a few months ago and it was pretty easy. I can't imagine what they did wrong. Sounds like they messed up if they had to cut anything. And I'd be concerned about what it was they cut. Some pics would help us.
take it back and tell them to make it right. Make the steering wheel right and then realign the front end. Hell they probably had to cut something because they didn't straighten the steering wheel first.
