I called this morning and asked to send it on ahead without the bushings, since I still have the stock ones. Hopefully it'll go out soon and I'll get to track it's progress across the country.

Install snag:
I specified "stock shift ****" when ordering, for a 2007 Mustang GT. I have the Premier Trim Package, which has an all metal ****. The threads are of a much bigger size than those on the handle I received. Hopefully there is a handle that will work because I really wanted to retain the stock **** :/

the threaded shaft for the stock **** is m12 x 1.25 threads. it should be the same on all shifters. which **** do you have that is all metal frtom the facotry as i have only seen 3 styles of oem **** and they are all plastic.
could you post a pick of the **** you are using? did it come with the car
from the factory?
please let me know asap as these threds were made to fit metal or plastic ***** as our grippers actually have aluminum base not plastic and they fit them fine.
also, can you post a pic of the handle you got to make sure its not the hurst 3/8-16 thread.

Yes, same **** as Tispco. It is only found on 2007 Mustang GT's with the Premier Trim Package. It is metal. It seems the 1st 66% of the threads inside the **** are not used, they are too large.
I compared the shaft to the stocker, they were the same! So I scratched my head. Then I put the **** back on, felt it pass most of the threads, and then it started threading. It seems there is some sort of insert deep in the **** with smaller threads. You can see it in there if you shine a light into it. It looks like brass/copper or something.
Regardless, your kit works great
Sorry for the panic! I'll post a review when I get a chance to drive it..too tired!
After I got my brain in order, everything went smooth. The kit was complete, and all parts fit perfectly the 1st time. Very complete kit with unreal build quality. I started out with 9 turns and then went to 11. It feels awesome with that throw length. Can't wait to throw it in 3rd at 6000 RPM tomorrow!

good deal glad it worked out ![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
just rmember do not screw it out at all past 12 turns. it will start to rattle which is telling you you are in the unsafe zone of the linakge. i have put mine at 12 turns now and to be honest it is really too short and the tranny is just too notchy to get that short. i think the sweet zone is aobut 7-8 turns out.
