MAC's will be here on friday and will install Saturday morning. Is there room to do the swap without jacking the car up?

I have the Mac axleback, bassanic x pipe and bbk headers. Loud as hell but an AWESOME sound. I ended up buying a second Mustang (97 GT vert) for my daily driver, and just take the '05 out in the evenings and weekends to terrorize the neighborhood...

Go to YouTube and search on "jwgroovin". I have a several videos of the mac axleback, mac+bassani, and mac+bassani+headers.

As far as needing to jack the car up to install the MAC's, I did when I did mine and it makes it much easier.

Of course, I am old and fat!

Installed the MAC's today. **** they are loud. Love the sound, but not sure I can handle it every day. Think these might be up for sale.

I have Macs with a catted prochamber. Sounds great outside the car, but there is too much resonance inside. If the interior resonance is what's bothering you, I would suggest some Dynomat under the rear seat and trunk. That will keep the interior quiet, and in the process save you time and money that switching exhausts dictates.

Frankly, the Macs are about the only system I think that give the car an old school sound.

Doing the trunk has met with mixed success. One post talked about dynomatting the driver's door, which makes sense since that interior resonance diminishes a bit if you crack the window. Passengers note the drone as well but don't usually complain about it.

I agree, the Mac's are the closest to old school sound. But like I said, I kept the car but bought an inexpensive daily driver because the 2005 with Macs was shaking my fillings loose.

When I added my headers the drone diminished somewhat but it's still there. As a cheap fix I lined the trunk with a piece of the thickest carpet padding I could find and it helped alot. $5 mod! LOL

This is the absolute FIRST time I have heard that said about the S197 macs. 1 out of 200 isn't bad, is it?
