Wow, that's a slick looking setup. I think I may have to get that eventually.

A buddy of mine has a new Dodge Magnum with the Hemi, he has the K&N intake for it and it fits really nice, looks awesome on his car too.

You will like the performance increase as well, I have also seen a MPG improvement with just the K&N CAI, I ordered mine with the predator through RPM outlet.

 

Scott, you have persuaded me to know go for the K&N/Diablo combo! Thanks for the write up. I have the Flowmasters, I wonder how they'll sound. Do your Magnaflows sound more alive?

 

Yes the Magnaflows sound good, they are not as loud as the flows, but they have a deep exhaust tone, and almost no drone, wich I like, and at wot they are awsome. the tipls on the Magnaflows really add looks to the back of the car.

I still have not heard back from diablosport, it seems to take them a week or so to return e-mails, so I am still patiently waiting.

 

installed my K&N + Predator last night...all I can say is its a HUGE difference.

 

Wich tune did you use ?

 

I used the 87 tune and did put my HC trap back in. I wasnt sure that since I tuned my car with the predator if I needed it back in or not so for now I just put it back in.

 

I had just replied to youre new topic. lol, anyway mine did not come with the hc trap from the factory, it has been running smoothly and getting better mpg since the K&N install, I have been waiting to hear back from Scott at diablo sport concerning a custom tune, nothing yet from them so I have not tuned my car as of yet, have you had any issues with the 87 oct tune ?

 

no problems as of lastnight. It took about 10 or so minutes to rewrite the pc with the predator. I am new to all this "reflash" etc. as I said in a week or so I am going to get my car dynoed and I will do a run with and without the HC trap. Then maybe I will see if my car will run lean etc.

 

I cant wait to see what the dyno shows !

 

I think you will see an addittional gain w/o the hc trap.
