I guess maybe I went overboard, Partshopper had a great deal on the Magnaflows, and Rpm outlet had a good deal on the Cai, and the Predator tuner combo, I was just wondering who might have this setup, or some of it, and what you think, good or bad...

I will be getting the K&N soon...

but this has been my question all along-

the magnaflow wont show any increase in power...but the tune by itself should be worth about 20hp (?). The K&N by its self is worth about 15hp. No one knows what they do together.

 

I have the Magnaflow Pacs....AWESOME!!!

 

Thanks, as all of the manufacturers are claiming an increase in HP including Magnaflow I cant wait to get this stuff on, it should be here this weekend !

Will do, Partshopper did not ship out my Magnaflows yesterday, so they may not show up this weekend. But I should have the K&n and the predator today when I get home..

 

nice I have been hearing some good things about the K&N +pred setup and if the numbers are close to what RPM outlet says....its gonna be nice

 

Thats what I am hoping, I am sure the K&n will have some effect on the sound of the Magnaflows as well..

 

Ok I got the K&N CAI, and the predator, but got home kinda late tonight, I had time to install the K&n, heres what I think, its a great setup, ithere are a lot of peices to put together, but once istalled its solid, the only problem that I encountered was the maf sensor, it didnt fit exactly into the k&n pipe, I had to drill the hole in the sensor slightly to get the bolt to start, other than that it was a straight forward install.

Oh, I almost forgot, I had no Hydrocarbon trap in the factory setup, so the K&n was installed without it, The car runs like a scalded dog, no issues at all, I definitally felt a significant improvement in hp over the stock setup, very nice, and this is without the predator tune.

For those of you wanting a CAI and dont want to get the tuner yet, this is it !

Should be getting my Magnaflows tomorrow, I cant wait, I will update with each new mod for those that are interested !

Thats a good question, and the answer is no it did not come with a custom tune for the K&N, only for the C&L and the steeda CAI, but it does come with three canned tunes, wich I think will work nicely with the K&N CAI, I have e-mailed Diablo sport and am waiting on a response from them..Maybe tomorrow, i'll let ya know.

RPM has the best combo deal that I have found, I think one of the canned tunes on the predator will work fine, but I am waiting to get more input from Diablo Sport.

Thanks for all the info I just placed my order for the K&N + pred kit today and was told I may see it next Wednesday or so. So I asked them about the HC trap I told them that my car did come with it and I took it out. So will I have to put it in when I get the Aircharger kit or not even with the predator? I also will run the 87 tune in my car just for gas price reasons around here. The other thing I didnt know was that they will upgrade the predator for free if any other tunes come out

 

I have close to that setup Except i have the MAK offroad pipe wich realy woke up the car and the Magnaflows.Pretty awesome sound also.

 

i have the same set up installed(magnaflow cat back and k&n)...just waiting for my diablo.
runs great without the tuner...can't wait to see how much it helps.

 

FYI, I have e-mailed Scott at diablo sport concerning the K&N CAI, I was told they are working on a custom tune, I beleive this will be a free download.
