My comment was directed at the Saleen SCs (and other twin screws for that matter), not the centrifugals.

There's always a chance something can let go, regardless of the power level. But, IMO it isn't the hp level or the boost level that is critical... it is the tune and the fuel. It is most often detonation or a lean condition that causes fatal failures. Someone running 8# boost with an aggressive tune (i.e., more timing) making 450rwhp will be more at risk than someone running 10# boost with a conservative tune making the same 450rwhp.

I agree with Don a 100%...I also believe that a centrifugal by nature is more abusive on a motor with the way it more harshly "spools" up to boost where as a twin screw has a much smother build up of boost IMO...Still TUNING is the key.
