Shoot, once the weather breaks we should pull a tri-state meeting- Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania! That'd be pretty cool......

I traded my Stingers for some GTA's.The GTA's were only a couple of weeks old,my Stingers had maybe 3000 miles on them.I felt it was a great trade. No more drone from the Stingers or my wife. She couldn't take it any longer.

that sounds mean. i can't get over how many people are having such a hard time trying to find that perfect sound. So much easier with previous stangs. Even with the 200-2004 mustangs. I have never heard of so many people changing thier exaust many time like I have with the new stang model. Hopfully exhaust companies are noticing the wants of stang owners and researching new designs .

Video By Pypes !! New Mid Muffler !!! Sounds Good

This is what I see more manufactures will be designing. pypes calls it a MID-MUFFLER. Is it just a resonator like LP?? I don't know but I would like to see more companies researching and developing with a mid- muffler in mind. I'm sure we will see new products in the near future. Here are some vid clips of the mid mufflers. ENJOY

+1, no doubt. I slapped an offroad X and a set of Dynamax Turbo mufflers on my '92 GT years ago and have never looked back. But with the '06, I've spent hundreds of dollars (well, ok over $1000) and countless hours and I'm still not totally satisfied. Part of it has to do with the engine as Scott mentioned, which is also why I'm looking at cams before a blower.

I like the look of this too. Any videos of 3V's running resonators and SLP's with an O/R H pipe?

Even with the X-pipe the GTA's sound really good and after the car warms up it doesn't sound raspy.I still havn't heard a s-197 with Flows in person to make comparisons there..These GTA's remind me of old turbo styled mufflers.Oh yeah...the tips have cleaner look.

Look I found this on the pypes forums

We have had a number of requests for a Mid-Muffler System for the 2005-07 Mustangs to capture 'That Mustang Sound' that is missing from the new generation Mustang. We had our Exhaust Technicians design and build a Mid-Muffler system which utilizes two Pypes M-80 polished 304 stainless straight thru bullet mufflers, a pair of non crush bent stainless midpipes and a stainless muffler delete Axle-Back System with 4" tips. We test it on our Performance Edition 2005 Mustang. There are a number of pictures and videos of this prototype in our Installation gallery.
Please click on 'Installation Gallery' from the main Pypes page to see pictures and videos.

Systems should be in production by mid April. Retail price will be around $350.

YES !!! YES!!!i will be getting this system as soon as they come out!! Not bad $350 for the whole thing.I like how they said that the mustang sound is missing in the 05. That's what we have been talking about and why so many of us are going crazy tryin to get the correct set up.i be a buNch of companies will follow WITH SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT IDEAS.I BET FLOWMASTER WILL JUMP ON A MID MUFFLER SYSTEM SINCE THEY HAVE NOT REPLICATED THE SOUND OF PREVIOUS GENERATIONS
AGAIN HERE IS THE WEB SITE WHERE YA CAN SEE VID ON THE MID-MUFFLER SYSTEM

Sounds alot like SLP loudmouths to me....... not bad, but it will be loud that's for sure. I wonder if the location of the resonators will help reduce the drone that the SLPs have? Also, I wonder how it will sound will an offroad H- will it trumpet??

I guess once the snow melts and I have resonators installed on my overaxle pipes, I can just remove my Borlas and see how it sounds; it would be basically the same thing. Someone needs to get one of these systems and try it out so I don't have to keep experimenting LOL!

I wonder if you can just buy the mid pipe? I'd love to try it out with my Magnaflows.

If my driveshaft ever gets here, I am planning to try that while I have her in the air. I don't have a good way to record it, so y'all are SOL, but I can give you my impression of it.
