FAQ: Computer Tuning the 05+ Mustang
Has anyone picked up hp, just with the Diablo tune? I installed mine Sunday (finally got my car back!) and although I can't say if there's a power difference, the shifts are night and day, and the car stays in 1st longer.
This simple tune alone, to my mind, was worth the $ for the unit. The car was quick before, but now it flies through the gears like it ought to and it's SCARY quick!
Looking forward to putting my gears and pulleys in and re-tuning.

Looks like an interesting format.
We are pleased with the response to our Predator flash programmer for the 2005 Mustang GT, and value the input from our customer base.
The ability to update revisions and add custom tuning to a Predator makes it the fall down easy, versatile, never grows old programmer. No matter what bolt on modifications you choose down the road a program change can always be made with out any more then an e-mail, and download.
Factor in adjustability and diagnostic features, Predators hard to beat.
It may take a few days to make, test and release revisions on our part, but the market has no other manufacturer who offers the convenience of this feature, because it’s not easy to do.
We continue to dyno test and tune 2005 GT everyday. We will keep everyone in the hottest and most well thought out calibrations we can. We value the input we get from the forums, and look forward to answering what ever questions we can.
Thanks,

OK, I want one. But I have no experience with them and am looking for some advice. My GT's a manual. I can not use my (work) computer to download anything. I only want to improve my performance in the quarter mile. The only future mod I plan is exhaust. Should I even spend the money, and if so, which one do you recommend? TIA :worship:

I just installed the Diablo "91 Octane Performance" tune on Saturday and installed the r21 "Performance Tune" this afternoon (now that I have a good clean tank of 94 octane). With r21, it's not showing "93 Octane" anymore, just "Performance Tune" with no indication that it's for 93. My first email with Diablo and they said the description should say 93 once I select it but it doesn't. Anyone else?
Anyway, I really like the improved throttle response and it feels like there's more get up 'n go.
You are looking at the first screen select it and then the 2nd screen will give you more to pick from. It will not tune you car till a good back up is done and will ask you 2 times if the tune you picked out is what you want.

1) Performance Tune
2) 87 Octane Performance
3) 91 Ocatne Performance
4) Factory HP Tune
5) Original Backup
Predator is U7140, v.8r21
Before the update, I think I remember seeing 93 Octane.
Oh, and I couldn't find anywhere to disable Traction Control.
yea , use the 91 tune and use the spark advance 2 clicks in advance both 2-4 4-6 and that would be the 93 tune unless you have the c@l intake its 93 so you will not have move the advance. note traction control is not in option as of now.

I don't have a C&L...I have the JLT (still in the box).
the 91 tune is good . Some people like it better then the 93 you can flash it as many times as you want trying diffrent stuff. I would try and get the jlt tune for and it would be 93 if thats what you are after. I must of flashed mine 65 times so far.

What settings make the throttle body open faster? I still have just tiny bit of lag on tip in with the DTP 93 octane tune, when compared to the canned Diablo 93 octane tune. Thanks for any advice!
I have a JLT canned tune installed. As these new updates come out, do I need to install them on my tuner? I am happy with the canned tune and do not want it to change. So should I just not download the updates from Diablo?
I am new to the Mustang and tunning world. But I just installed the C&L Intake and Bassani Exhaust. I dowloaded the C&L tune for diablo pred. So one please tell me if I am thinking right or is it just my imagination.
The first time I installed the tune I set it for 87 octane which was about 4 deg. negative. According to my BUTT DYNO and my friends this things was pulling hard. It really opened up.
Today I ran out all the 87 Octane fuel and put 91 in. Then I AdvANCED it 6 degrees which put it to +2. Then i put it on the BUTT DYNO. This time it didn't seem to pull as much as the 87. To me it seemed to hold back a little.
So then I adjusted the Global Spark negative 2, which put it back to ZERO.
Then i put it to the Butt Dyno. This time it pull harder, but was the as deep sounding as the 87Octane tune.
So is it right to think that 87 Octane Tune with this Intake is Better or is something wrong with my BUTT
