Anyone know anything about this, i found it on CJ Pony Parts for less than Steeda, BMR, and UMI. Would this be worth it for me since i am just looking for something to realign my axle after the lowering springs, or should i just go for the UMI. When i do start road racing this car i am going to switch to a Watts Link anyways and this will only be a temp fix till i can get my full suspension set up from Griggs.

 

to me the Edelbrock name has always ment quality. They stand behind their stuff I say go for it

 

We have one. Nice for the price. The instructions say it is already greased but it didn't look like it so I put some more in anyway. DO NOT OVERFIL!

We also added a thin stainless fender washer to the drivers side that is hardly supported by the factory bracket. Which brings me to a comment: All the LCA instructions that say you have to tighten at the ride height are incorrect. The reason is the stock pieces clamp on a tube permanently fixed to the rubber mount. Take out the rubber and the poly bushing spin as required. That is how they work. Not that it hurts but there is no need to try and get under the lowered car.

Oh yeah, one of the included grease fittings should angled instead of straight.

I put one on my 07 GT, it looked/felt soild and I never had any problems with it. I also purchased Edelbrocks upper rear control arm, it was less confidence inspiring and I never got around to installing it (the BMR piece appears way beefier).

 

I have one on mine.The price was right and its a nice looking piece.No complaints.Just like fountainclimber said the driver side grease fitting should be angled instead of straight.That reminders me I still need to change that !

 

Just a question but why does the grease fitting need to be angled or is that just for convenience?

 

The grease fitting points directly towards the bracket and it would have been hard to get at. I had to buy 5 so PM me address if you need one.

Been running the Edelbrock panhard, uca and lca's for 2 years now. Great pieces IMO. And yes, you need an angled grease fitting if you want to lube it on that end without removing it.

 

Cali, how much abuse have you put your Edelbrock UCA through? Compared to some others, the Edelbrock piece looks down right spindly and I'm hesistant about putting it on my GT500 (mother f'ing axle hop drives me crazy ) for fear it won't be up to the task.

 

In your case i say go for the BMR or even the Steeda peice as you will be sticking to that suspension set up. I am only looking at this for a temp fix and it will not be beat on. When the time comes i am going to revamp my suspension to alot of FR500C parts and a Watts Link.

 

I have abused them with street tires only. 285-40-18's to be exact. Part of this abuse was with 500/500 at the rear wheels. If I was to change anything I would put a Steeda UCA in place but I don't think you can hurt the Edelbrock lowers. Plus I really like the one bushing/one spherical end on the lowers. They work great, no bushing problems like BMR, they are chromolly so they are light/strong, and no increase in NVH that I can tell. Oh yeah, you can NOT make my car wheel hop. That s... is solid.

Sweet, I'm jealous I usually have to accelerate, get out of it and get back in it, otherwise it feels like I'm rolling over a washboard.

 

Well either way, i am not going to get the bar. I wanted to get it for the price but from what CJ Pony Parts told me is that the bar is on backorder from Edelbrock and CJPP does not know when they will be able to get more of the bars. So i ended up going with a BMR bar.

 

I had a BMR bar before I went with the Watt's link and didn't have any problems. That should be fine.
