Thanks for the great review Bob. The heat sheild is supposed to go between the fan, so you got it right. If you had directions you would have known that.

If anyone is having issues with cold start/high revs I'm working on it. Thanks for the patience I'm in the middle of tracking it down. Should have fixes for anyone that has the issue by mid next week.

Thanks,
from what I could tell, I'm not sure. The box was so tore up and i was so disapointed the minute I couldn't lay my hands on the CAI, I handed him the box back...

I'm sure the next shipment will go better..just my luck this time.

Ken, If thats how the heat shield is supposed to go, then I will simply say that the entire install was intuitive then. Once you hold it in place, there's no way you can not see how it's supposed to go. I woulda figured it out faster is I wasn't installing the intake at midnight after working a 13 hour day.

It's also funny you mention the High Idle/Cold start problem. I was having some issues at first when I tried to update my ProFab tune to what the C&L had liked. I had a very hard cold start and once it did start, the idle was crappy and would stutter at launch until the car was above 2500 rpms. I eventually tracked it down to the Tip in torque rate max table. I set this back to stock and its running fine now. Going to play a bit with it over the weekend to see how far I can go with it before it starts giving an issue again. Dunno if this is your issue, but just want to throw it out there to maybe help.

Give me some details on this. I just got the box back and everything was inside! Did you look in the box or just assumed that stuff was missing?

Ken,
To be honest, based on the condition of the box and trying to determine if all the contents were there and not damaged, I missed locating the CAI in my brief/disapointed rifling through the box. I am glad to hear everything was there, I apologize for the extra drama, and please let me know what the shipping charges are to my address again.

Happy Holidays and thanks,
Troy

There is a very good possibility it wasn't in there. When it came back it was in a brand new box. They may have found it back at the warehouse. No charge on the return shipping. Will go out today!

Any status on the Cold Start / High Rev issue yet? This seems to be only glitch. Otherwise rest of tune is awesome!

Ok guys, sorry about the delay on the fix. I've received a few datalogs from you guys and it's not giving me a clear picture. I've only gotten a local car to do it once.

Before we go too much further, you guys did put the black vacuum line on the valve cover right? Any vacuum leaks would do what you all are experiencing.

If anyone can datalog this, it would help alot

I need

RPM
inlet air temp
coolant temp
desired idle
idle air integrator
maf counts
long term trims
short term trims
load
spark

Try and pick all parameters in caps unless you don't see it then pick the lowercase version.

I plan on sending out a fix to everyone tomorrow one way or the other. But I would like a clearer picture of what is going on. I can certainly improve it greatly with the data I already have.

Anyone waiting on a order, our lathe broke we are back up and running and you should receive yours soon.

Ken

I ordered the tube color matched Grabber Orange. And the heat shield polished. I'm getting the 87 and 91 tunes. Wish 93 octane was available here.
