Any reasons why you would not get a CAI

I really need to get a tune by Bama or Brenspeed. My canned tune from the SCT Strategy Flash is ok, but I am getting about 2mpg worse on the highway than I was stock. Ugh. More $$ that I don't have...

Everybody seems to be throwing off on the Steeda, but I was wondering if anyone has tried it with the HiFlow inlet elbow? My local shop says they are getting great results with it and a dyno tune. I'm leaning toward that for my 08. Will the C&L with a dyno tune do better? Also, what's the difference between the racer and the street on the C&L other than the aluminum v. plastic inlet tube? Which provides better power?

The C&L street intake I believe makes slightly better numbers; somewhere around 3 to 4 ponies more I think. But don't hold me to that. It is really more about what you are looking for... The racer intake is more suitable if you are going to add nitrious.

I switched from the C&L Street to the Steeda for looks, fit and finish and I'm happy with the Steeda. I had Brenspeed hook me up with an updated tune and couldn't feel any difference between the two intakes.
