I actually bought an autozone filter. Its a specter brand. Dry element and was 25bux with taxes and all. I got tired of cleaning the c&l one and the k&n filter cleaning kit was 20bux a pop which was barely enough to do it twice, not to mention the downtime.

Cant tell a difference between that and the c&l filter although the autozone one is shorter. It came with a bunch of rings so it can adapt to the cai you use, I needed none of the rings for the racer. It looks properly built with a velocity stack built in. The one I bought was silver. It does not touch the inner fender like the c&l either. All I need now is a ford racing air box.

Next year ill buy another one.

Just put one of these on my C&L (not the racer).
Tight fit and does touch the fender well.
Looks great and goes with my theme.
