Terminator VS GT500
#141
The gt500... faster? that cant be true, topbliss! the cobra is faster and thats a written down fact! that live axle brings down handling levels on that heavier gt500. the cobra is lighter. and your friend may have a cobra, but its not a terminator. also, if you supercharge the termy, it gets 1200 hp, like my teacher's car! also, cpbras cost half of gt500s. if i bought a cobra, with the money i saved by buying it instead of the gt500, i could take it up to stage 2 or 3. 1200hp, 9.8 secon quater miles, like my teacher.

pulling your leg? What? no, im just using facts. the cobra is .1 sec faster, significant for a model 6 years older, and whatever u think the gt500 has thats better, the cobras low low price makes up for it. i mean, with the money u save, u can buy another cobra, ur completely customize it. also, most ppl in this blog preffer the cobra not the shelby.

a tenth is a good bit, but not a crushing defeat (and well within the margin of a drivers race)
Or smart with his money
Well watch your video again, if the termi was the better handling car, it it would have been closer or better in the road portion of the comparo - The guy who owns the terminator doesn't really know crock about Mustangs it seems, especially with the statement about being based on an old thunderbird compared to his car which is nothing more than some pretty sheet metal stretched over a 30 year old chassis band-aided with a hobbled together IRS (hats off to the guy that made it work, but its seriously compromised). The S-197 by comparison is lightyears ahead of the Fox/SN95 chassis in every measurable area.
Fun factor is purely subjective, personally I'd rate my old 07 GT (with FR3 suspension) as more fun than either my GT500 or the termi - it doesn't have the acceleration of either the GT500 or the termi, but it would **** sure run circles around either SVT car on a road course in terms of handling.

Hello, Please explain what you believe is the difference between a 2003-2004 Cobra and a "terminator"?
Here is a hint, they are one in the same.
What does that mean? All 2003-2004 Cobras/Terminators ARE supercharged from the factory, at a rated 390 horsepower.
Your teacher is not making 1200 horsepower with the stock bottom end, not for long anyway...
Does your position take into account the vastly better body structure of the GT500, 31 percent stiffer in torsional rigidity than the 2004 chassis, or the vastly better looks?

it is superchanrged bonehead. Do you know anything?? And your teacher did not get 1200 hp with a jackson blower..
with every post you make, your credibility is dropping quite a bit.
Trust someone who knows.. The GT500 is a better car then the term.

uhh, doesnt that make it a better car?
hell I can strap a 800 hp engine in my jeep, but that doesnt make it a better sports car than a M3...

Needs to be more Astony
Metrionix knows what hes saying, I'm pretty sure I have seen his teachers car, it has a supercharger on top of the supercharger. It is double supercharged to get 1200hp. I'm pretty sure its the car he was talking about, but i could be wrong.

MY credibility is dropping? Dude, you said your friend has 3 Mustangs including a GT500. and I'm the one who's not making sense? And on top of it all, I do believe you. And to the rest of you, the 03 cobra is my favorite car, I KNOW IT IS STOCK SUPERCHARGED! Get that in your heads! What I am talking about is the capability to turn it into a monster with all the cash you save by buying it instead of the Shelby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IDK. All he said is he put a Jackson in it. It might be double, but I don't think so. It's just a Jackson, I think. by the way he does have 1200hp, My autos class has a Dyno in it. I've seen the monster being tested. And again, It's not just the S-charger, he spent a total of $600 little tiny dollars to optimize overall performence with some cheap *** mods. And if the GT500 is better, then why is it so ******* expensive, if it can't even beat the Terminator in the quater mile?

Yes its a masterpiece but I believe we get the point about mods. You dont have to act like a fanboy. In fact most people here don't want it. Just enjoy your Terminator and let other people voice their opinions
