Stang and a Modena...
There is no way in heck a basically stock Mustang is going to keep up with a Modena. Like Boomer and Jeff have said look at the numbers!
The driver of the Ferrari was probably laughing his butt off and hopefully he's not reading the first post because he'll probably die of laughter.
Hey Jeff, did I tell you my Subie can keep up with your Stang

I'd love to catch a Ferrari at a light, a punch or even a full out 1/4 track. But at speeds in excess of 140 I'm quite sure even the little 395 bhp sleek as snot light as a feather Italian will beat my slightly porkier less aerodynamic 395 RWP (N/A) Camaro. Its physics. 1 foot more frontal section at those speeds will suck up more HP just to be able to stay at those speeds much less accelerate and it increases exponentially. And thats just frontal area not including other factors such as body lines, weight, and the underside of the vehicle that also make a huge difference at those speeds all of which favor the Ferrari much more than your or even my car for that matter.
Not calling BS per say but I'm signifanctly modded and should be low 11's N/A and somewhere in the 10's on spray (waiting on getting my car back from being tuned before I install the 150 shot) and I'm pretty sure that something of that caliber would be able to pull me at those speeds (not beat me down but I dont really expect to keep up unless I spray). And the New stangs have alot more frontal area than my car as well as quite a bit more heft. It takes a lot more power to propel a brick than it does a spear. I'm not calling a Mustang a brick but in comparison to a Ferrari even my car which is more aero than a New stang is like a brick. Merely saying at over 140 I don't see how a heavier, alot less aerodynamic car with almost twice the lb/HP rating would keep up unless the other driver was not fully footing it. Your probably producing as much or more drag at 90 MPH than he is at 140 or even maybe 150. No doubt he floored it at lower speeds where you would have kept up but at over 140 its just a little hard to justify rationally.
I've never ridden in a Ferrari, much less a Ferrari at high speed but I have a new 07 CS/GT and at over 140 MPH it still pulled but the needle was creeping alot slower than it did from even 100-120.

hey no offense man but may i ask why your on a mustang forum if ur car is a camaro?
. I think the best way to stay informed on whats happening or about to happen in the market is to pay attention to what they all are doing. Plus its more fun to watch your own kind put the dumb ones in check. Funny watching true mustang racers chew up a guy how posts that his stock SN95 took out a bolt on LS1 with DR's. We do the same thing with bolt on LS cars boasting on modded termies or other hopped up beasts. I'm a member of many forums most GM based but 2 are mustang based.Well that and the fact that when the wife pays off her escape she will get one and I will have a leg up on what to do mod wise.
Lastly because I work on cars on the side and have several people who come to me for performance oriented questions, and what better way to get it than to study what bolt ons are out there and what they actually put down.
I know mustang owners on every GM site I frequent so its not soo taboo.
If I posted about how I beat an SVT Focus in my mostly stock Crown Vic, I'd expect to be called on it. That'll never happen because I'd never post a "kill report", but still...

Well the real question is... Was it red? I hear they have more power if they're red...
We all know that no Mustang is as fast as a Ferrari of its era. Why not just accept the fact that the other guy just couldn't drive... maybe he was in the wrong gear. Those F1 paddles can be tricky.
haha
As for the comment about "why are you on a Mustang forum if you own a Camaro?" I was on here for I don't even know how many years without a car at all. If a Camaro guy wants to come and play more power to 'im.
