Hello!!...

I was at the office today, and somehow we got into the discuition of this cars... how would you guys rank them?... what do you guys think of heach?.. thanks in advance!!

1965 AC COBRA 302 ENGINE
1970 MUSTANG MACH 1 TWISTER SPECIAL 351 ENGINE
1974 MUSTANG II MACH 1 MEXICAN 302 ENGINE
1990 TOYOTA PICK UP SR5 4X4 V6 ENGINE
1993 MUSTANG SALEEN 5.0 ENGINE
2004 LOTUS ELISE 1.8 ENGINE

 

1) 1965 AC COBRA 302 ENGINE (funny, I could have sworn it was a 289)
2) 1970 MUSTANG MACH 1 TWISTER SPECIAL 351 ENGINE
3) 2004 LOTUS ELISE 1.8 ENGINE
4) 1993 MUSTANG SALEEN 5.0 ENGINE
5) 1974 MUSTANG II MACH 1 MEXICAN 302 ENGINE (doesn't really count, couldn't buy it here)

What the heck is this POS Doing on this list (1990 TOYOTA PICK UP SR5 4X4 V6 ENGINE) Not to say I didn't have one, but not the same kinda vehicle.

 

Heh-heh - Toyota truck owns all!!! J/K. Yeah, how did it get on this list anyway?
Personal pref. is towards "driver's cars" - picked '04 Elise for 1st (despite engine source) with the '65 AC Cobra (289) a close 2nd. Now if the Cobra had all the modern goodies, that would be a different story.

 

it depends on how you are ranking...if you are talking straight line then.

1) 65 AC Cobra 289
2) 04 lotus elise
3) 93 saleen
4) 70 mach
5) 90 toyota pickup
6) 74 Mustang II

handling would be similar but the elise would be on top and cobra second.

I love the Mach 1 Twister but seeing as I was rating this as a performance list I went with the A/C Cobra since the Mach and Twister packages were strictly appearance only and not performance. Now had that been a big block specified under the hood of the Mach I think my decision may have been swayed.

which car is most awesome, that's how you rank 'em.

I vote exactly like karman, except switch the lotus with the Mach... I don't really like the twister edition, seems a little silly to me, but i'm sure that's just cause i didn't grow up then and wasn't fully aware of that car's awesome.

This thread just gave me a seizure. Wayyyy to many random names and big letters for the tiny brain of colin to cope with.

 

1) The 1965 Shelby Cobra (it had a 260 or a 289).
2) The 1970 Mach 1 (but it wan't a Mach 1 and a Twister Special)
3) 1993 Saleen 5.0

The rest are just junky cars and a POS truck.

LOL!!!... I just forgot about this thread... I was looking 4 other stuff and came across this... and the whole office started to laugh and the discussion started back again... LOL!!...

 

I remember this too...I went with the 351. The 302 was a good one, but the only reason it performed so well in the car is becuase the car didn't weigh anything.
