I like the first set of gauges Jed. Good choice with the CDC.

Jed-Can't see any of the pics right now but it I'll go with everyone elses choice on the guages.

Bill-BAP install looks real clean.

Looks like I missed out on a good time and good food at Ray's. Ray you'll have to have one again soon.

Brain-How's the car? Getting used to it? When do the guages go in? Need to start getting ready for the track. I heard Irwindale does Saturday races during the summer.

I'll be in town this weekend if you guys want to do something. Just as long as it isn't on Mothers day...

I might go to the Barona (track) on Friday. All depends on when the wife wants to take of for LA. Worst case scenario I'll be at the track next Friday.

Looking for opinions.....I'm debating on wether or not I should buy another two 17" take off's w/stock tires. Reason being I was thinking it might be weird to drive around with 18' rims in the front and 17's in the rear. Should I bother? Would it really make a difference besides appearance?

The gauges have been slightly derailed by the fact that absolutely no one has bitten on the $400 bullitts. Not even a nibble . The only thing I've sold is the shifter. The parts were the funds for gauges. So it looks like I'll have to use my Gov't "stimulation" check to get them. As far as the track... Next serious "mod" is an oil/air separator about $200-240. Then I'll start knocking away each of the pieces I need to hit the track. When I get my helmet you'll know I'm ready

The car is doing great and I'm kinda used to it. On the way to Ray's I got to do some really good 3rd gear pulls and WOW, there just seems to be no end of the power.

If you are here Sat maybe we could do something in the late afternoon, committed to do dad's brakes on his F250 and then roto-till some of the backyard.

17" or 18" ?? It's hard to say. What happened to the 17" deal you got ?? I wouldn't worry about it because the DR on the 17 will look pretty big and any appearance difference will be offset quite a bit.

What do you guys think?
Black digital looks good, matches your LED readout of your wideband gauge.
If me, I'd stay with analog.. it's timeless in car fashion.

Thanks. Here's what it looks like all buttoned up.

Don't bother trying to match the rear 17's. You're just creating more unecessary work and $$.

I already got the 17's for the rear . I'm asking if I should spend money on getting another set of 17's for the front of the car. That way I'm not rolling with a 18" rim up front and 17's in the back.

I roll 18s up front and 17s in the back at the track, no problem.

What do you inflate the front tires to at the track?

Just got some minor stuff from MossMustangs.

I figure this will fit on my SHR decklid medalion. One letter on top of the other. If it fit's I'll get rid of my two pony's in close proximity problem.

I'd been wanting this for a while but couldn't justify paying the cost of the item in shipping.

If you have to buy a casket why let it sit around waiting for you to die.

I don't..... I leave them as they are, around 32psi. Track officials couldn't believe I was lifting a wheel off the ground with 18x9 deep dish bullitts up front.

I'm sure raising the pressure (making for less contact area, width-wise) would gain you something- but how much, I don't know.

Being able to lift the front tires is pretty badass.

I don't remember if you have slick or radials. But if you have radials what PSI do you run them at for street driving?

Brian-Hurry up and get track ready so we can have our first Socal POTR guy with front wheels in the air.

Looks like its Full sweep Analog UltraLiites!

Thanks guys for the feedback, I'll wait to hear from Leo but the feeling is to go with the full sweep Ultralites. That makes the most sense its a timeless muscle car look. Not to many deals out there on the AutoMeter gauges; even GTR wasn't very competative on the price.

I'l going to get some quotes on painting the pod. Haven't deciced black or silver or maybe a combo!

Jed @ work!

FYI: Cindo de Mayo today... after work a little Joe Crow!

I watched his dad do it on a weekly basis and not get his *** kicked. I really didn't think Kyle's move was all that bad. (and I am by NO means a Busch fan) He might have taken the corner a bit high, but that really is nothing compared to other wrecks I have seen. Everyone is making a big deal because it's Jr. and his streak looked like it could have come to an end. It's a short track, you are going to have incidents like that.
