Looks great Tom.

I would go with the CDC mat Leo. I just like most CDC products.

Looks like I will be out there sometime between the 6th and the 12th of April. I am not sure yet as they haven't nailed it down.
I would love to get together with any of the PTOR gang when I get there. I'll try to let you all know more later in the week if anyone is interested.
Looking forward to meeting you

I like this one!
John-If you can try and push your visit back a week to the weekend of the 18th. That way you'll get to come with us to the Fab Fords show.

Thanks for the link.

I'm leaning towards that one myself as I don't really feel I'll use the "pockets" in the CDC one.

Hope it'll be worth the wait. What was the HP increase advertised by JDM?

The GDM's look good, but for an extra 80 bucks or so, I'd go for the CDC corral. You can always stash some microfiber cloths, mini detail spray for emergencies, beer money, etc. in there.

George- When you added your sub, did you have to run wires to the radio or was there already a harness in the trunk that you plugged into?

Did you have the Shaker 500 before the nav swap?

it's not much, with the tune they said it should pic up about 20hp and 30lbs tq.

With the tune and the C&L it should dyno around 340 to the wheels. We'll see

I had the shaker 500. It came with harness, it plugs in to the amp for the front subs, if you can get it cheap, it's a good buy.

Pros...clean install,Factory looking install

Cons...wont blow out any windows. does not thump as much as a seperate amp/sub

I listened to Jed's 10" Infinity sub yesterday and it sounded pretty good. I'd figure that a 12" Fosgate sub should hit harder.

Since my Alpine install, it seems that I've lost the low frequency sub notes in the door sub speakers. Coming from a Shaker 500, I think I hooked up the RCA's incorrectly.

Pic below shows RCA cables from the Crutchfield harness to a Y adapter I bought.

Either I attached the Y to the wrong side, should be off the RED RCA... or

The Metra RCA's would plug directly into the Alpine (both L&R, like a Shaker 1000).

I dunno, guess I'll have to pull the headunit out to find out.

The car in the lot had every option I wanted. What was I supposed to do say no because of the Shaker 1000?

If it had every option you wanted, that included the 1000.

Come clean Leo, you crank up soulja boy when you cruise alone.

That right there is in a nutshell why I never mess with electronics. Electricity is not my friend. Nothing to beat on or torque down.

That said, sucks that the low-end is missing, I never had a sub until the shaker 1K and now that I have it I am glad I do. Which is better or what to buy ??? Couldn't answer that to save my life.

Looks like Aaron Rodgers (Brett Favres replacement) first game as starting qb will be the first Monday Night Football game (nationally televised) of the season. Packers/Vikings in Lambeau Field. No pressure.
