Yesterday I removed the bulb from the fitting I put in for the Water Temp gauge so I could run it and mount it. This morning, I started the car without thinking and it was instant Old Faithful (but in bright green).

I couldn't turn it off quick enough it happened so fast (at least I know the water pump is working good).

Coolant was EVERYWHERE... over the entire engine... it hit the underside of the hood and sprayed all over the garage wall and freezer. The shaker cover was off.

I hosed down the entire engine and blew it completely dry before starting it.

No problems... but what a pain!

Sorry couldn't resist. It's funny to see our resident expert mech makes a rookie mistake. Seriously though sorry to hear that. Sounds like a real pain to clean up.

Bill-Eibach pro's $189 shipped.

I laughed at myself, too, and couldn't believe I did that. Now the garage smells sweet!

A picture of your "oh ****" face when you realized what was happening would be priceless.

I did paint mine... The entire rotor, in fact... didn't bother taping it off at all.

I used the Hi-Temp paint, prepped and painted all 4 rotors, let them dry, mounted them, drove around the block a few times, and the pads took care of cutting nice paths for themselves...

They are amazing, I absolutely love mine. That film saved my a$$ a week or so ago. Had it out of the case thing I have and went to lunch. A lady in the elevator saw the phone.... 'OOooh is that the i-phone, can I see ?' and as I went to hand her the phone our hands hit each others and the phone went flying outta my hand past her and face down onto a tile floor. The film had some pretty serious dings that looked like they could be all the way to the glass, but the film protected the glass and there was zero scratches on the face. So I was pretty pleased that disaster was averted. All I had to do was reset the SIM chip and the phone as a-ok.... whew
