Ponies on The Run (Again)
I believe he said that it did not lower the engine at all but I'll leave the impressions for him. I got to drive the Tacomobile but since it was my first drive w/LCA, Driveshaft, 4.10s and the Prothanes I couldn't tell you what the difference was. I will say this much though... it's hard not to spin the tires on Bill's car
On a different front.... I had a little fun in mine.

Yah yah yah, whatever Leo.....
I hear ya... I run my stock wheels and tires in the winter; I've had them on since October now and they have decent tread left, however I'm smokin' them every chance I get LOL! Gotta do it now and take it easy on my Nittos come spring-time.
Thanks man..... I can't wait to get mine.
Like Brian mentioned, I don't see any differences. If there is, it's a hair higher, and that's being pretty critical. I'm totally happy with the look of the mounts and the Shaker/hood.
SOP: I'm very happy with them. In reality, only a slight vibration is felt on start-up and some during low rpm driving. What is very noticable is that the engine no longer torques side-to-side when revving it up, but rather the WHOLE car now can be seen and felt torquing (maybe 1/2").

Thanks. Leo was the shutterbug for these pics I just drove !! The best part was I had to turn all the vents on full-blast to get the smoke out of the cabin. It been awhile since I've had that problem
Those LCAs look awesome peeking out from behind the tires Bill!
And speaking of tires… Nice smoke Brian!
Well, I just got back from starting a machine up in Mooresville, NC and as per usual I drove the stang. It was a little over 423 miles one way and right at 7 hours travel time. As money is tight, (thank you Santa! ) I decided to drop in the 87P tune from Bama chips. I had never run any other tune but the 83R in my car so it was interesting. At first, it was a real downer as the 87P does not have the same throttle settings as the 93R but it does have a bit more low speed drive ability. So I reset the MPG average when I get on the interstate and 10 miles later, as I am doing 65 thru Montgomery I notice that the MPG is around 30 so I decided to set the cruise at 65 for another 35 miles. Surprise, surprise it was still 30.3 MPG! I then set it at 75 and when I got to my hotel that night at Mooresville it was 27.0 MPG! Wow! That is the best I ever got! The whole trip of 989 miles which included getting caught in a traffic jam was 25.5 MPG! And I bought gas in South Carolina twice for $2.62 so I saved big time on this trip.
Ya’ll have a Merry Christmas!
And stay outa Santas' cookies!

I checked it today and it is almost to the top of the hatchmarks (1 or 2 hatches short of the top line).
I was pretty sceptical about the blingage on the LCAs, whos gonna notice. After the install it's much more noticable than I had thought and looks great. Probably change my mind on which to get. Did I say they look great ?
Thanks, I don't know why but I just love burning out. It's so much fun
Great Pics Brian, It really does look like the shuttle taking off Before I saw Tacobill's LCA's I was relly leaning toward this http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=9630 Now I really have to rethink my options. Also yesterday was the first time I have ever driven a stang with the MGW shifter. I thought I was happy with my setup... WRONG! I now think the MGW is a must have and I just ordered mine!
You were going to go with the FRPP/SVT ones ?? for 6 bills they don't look all that much better than stock, other than the bushings. They have what looks like the same stamped steel as the main component. The nice billet ones at half price seems to be a much better deal.
They are 99.00 bucks!
Tom1: Oil at the top of the hatchmarks.
Brian & George: Just do it (just like you guys told me).
George: Ordered the MGW already? Dang, that was quick!
Let us know if you need a hand installing it.

Behind the scenes at the TacoGarage
... And I got to pilot the George's Saleen/PJ! That thing is sweet!!
First thing I noticed was how comfortable and race like the seats are, quite different from the standard GT seats.
Could be the aluminum flywheel, but the R's come up quick; straight to redline!
Steeda LCA's and Prothane mounts installed!
Write-ups coming soon, but here's a couple teasers...

The Garage!
The Taco! Don't trust just any mechanic make it a Taco!
By the time Habu & I got there the LCA's were in and shining!
Bill wanted me to take a picture of his dif cover here's a side shot.
What to do next? How about the Prothane Motor mounts!
Bill thinking huuuummmm where do I start?
How about here the instructions
Okay step one cut a 2 X 4 using the Bro used to raise the engine.
Just them we heard a rumble and George pulled up.
All the stangs now in the hood.
We were looking at a past newspaper where Bill made headlines! I think Bill posted it a while back ago on POTR.
We had an unexpected visitor show up, the Pope's ride was spotted in the Southbay!
With the torch up on jacks the fun begins! The wheels on each side of the garage look like gargoils of the garage!
The deffinition of TRUST get under your car and have your friend in control of the floor jack.
Almost at 50% completion. Here the old and new mounts.
The birds in the air told us that it was lunch time.
The food of all great mechanics. Thanks Leo
Bills first bite!
Then I had to go and get a hair cut! I'm sure Bill will fill in with more details!

Nice pictorial of how the day went down.
George-I'm surprised all it took was 60sec drive with Bill's car do decide on the MGW shifter. Maybe Tom needs to go a ride in Bill's car so he can finally be convinced the stock shifter needs to be replaced.

Nice pics Jed, you guys look like you had great fun! Wish we had crew like you guys have here in H-Town. Hard to believe with all the folks that live here in H-Town we couldn't get a few of us together but as it would seem I think I'm the lone ranger ha
Great pics Jed! I'm still cracking up about the popemobile

I see that pic of Habu smokin 'um, and I think "wallpaper", I needed a new one. And the pic with 3 Mustangs out front, that's what I want in a garage! The LCA's look great, it's a nice touch. Pizza Hut is an awesome lunch, anytime! That's a good pit crew, as well.
