Can you Powder Coat the brake calipers? I had an idea if it would work. Instead of painting the calipers and have the paint chip, crack and not match the car, how about color matched powder coated calipers?
No thoughts, questions or comments on this idea ?

With the G2 system, you can just paint them on the car, right? It depends if you want to go through the trouble of removing the calipers, paying to have them powdercoated, reintalling them, bleeding the lines, etc.

Sounds like it would look nice when done though! Especially with the rotors Bill and I are going to get. Yes, Bill... GOING to get...

Do you think this would be a waste (from a visual perspective) for me with as little of the rotor being visible with my rims and the calipers.

Sorry, I was going to comment on that, but Tom got me sidetracked.

Powdercoating the calipers would definately look better. But, most folks aren't into the downtime required to do the powdercoating (complete dissassembly required!), nor the hassle of bleeding, etc.

And yes, powdercoated calipers would look awesome with cross-drilled/gas slotted zinc plated rotors!

You can still see the rotor pretty good, so I don't think it would be a waste. Plus, with temps 250° cooler....

Even with your 17" Machined Wheels, you can see the rotors pretty good. If you had Moon hubcaps, I would advise against getting the performance rotors.

News Flash: I just came across a can of Coke, measures 2.5" diameter.

Yes... take a guess for all 4 rotors with zinc or powdercoated hubs and edges.

Front hole in cup holder bezel = 2.5", Rear hole = 3.0".

I just sent them an email asking about group buy info. And asking for shipping info to FL and OK.

Goup Buy! Why didn't I think of that?

I think the shipping charge is the same, goes by weight, not distance (within the 49). Unless of course the shop owner is delivering it to me personally!

As far as a group buy, if they say they'll do it, I guess I'll contact Brad to see if he'll put a post somewhere.

Daryl is so overwhelmed by the price, he can't reply!

Come to think of it, shipping does get broken down into postal zip codes... oops.

Well I use synthetic myself, gives that extra bit of lubricity (is that a word?)
Here is my caliper idea PSP'd (not Playstation Portable either)

Looks good... maybe a little too bright? But see how well you can see your rotors!
