Hope it's covered!

If not, illegal versions may be more cost effective.

We finally agree on something! Aren't you glad you didn't get DD haphazardly? It looks like he has 2" spacers on before he mounted the rims.

I went out to the car for the first time in almost a week. I opened the driver's door and when I shut it, it wouldn't shut. I noticed the window wasn't going down when the door was opened.

Dead battery.

In less than a week? I don't have Lo-Jack, like you do, Bill. So I wonder what it is?

Key wasn't on
Lights weren't on
DRL module is only activated when the key is on
Self-installed hood light was off

I have it hooked to a 2 amp trickle charge now.

When you close the door without the window going down, that triangle piece grabs on the trim that's on the A-pillar. I think this is what Daryl had a problem with... I hope it doesn't always grab now...

I'll tell you what the problem is... crappy battery, period.

Again, been there done that. If it's pretty well gone, I doubt the trickle charger will work (I know, tried that too). You'll have to jump it and run it letting the alternator charge the battery. Once it has a sufficient charge, then use the trickle to maintain it.

Oh yeah, you'll have to reset the window too. Once you have power, get in the car, turn the key to 'ON' or 'ACC' and roll the window all the way down and hold that window switch down for at least 2 seconds to reset it. Now you can roll it back up. When you open the door, it should crack down like before.

Yep... I should have put my Battery Tender on it knowing I wouldn't be driving it.

Before reading this I went out to switch it up to 12 amps. I also disconnected the neg cable so the battery sees a zero load. I'll see if that get's it charged enough to start it.

After trickle charging for a little while, I opened the door and the window came back down. But it doesn't go back up when the door is closed (I think that's what tells you that you have to reset it). At least it went down and it looks like the triangle piece doesn't hit any more.

Check out CDC's new 06 vert. Looks like they might be working on a ignition start button of their own. BTW they also added two GT's two there customer ride section.

Apparently everyone keeps their front license plates in their trunks??? How is that? I don't want to post over on that thread with the question. Nobody else is posting more than once, so I want to preserve the integrity of Leo's thread. I've already posted 3 times over there.

I assume it's in case they get pulled over for it they can tell the cop they'll put them on in hopes of not getting a ticket. I might start carrying mine. Although I've yet to have a problem.
