Ponies on The Run!
I don't know what to say either. Lots of ideas ran thru my mind on how all this happened. Too lean? But does that cause and engine to go poof?
I sent Brent (over at Brenspeed) an e-mail explaining the whole thing up to today's finding and he replied saying to get that BAP on asap, because of the power levels of this kit/tune, it needs it.
Obviously too late, but I thought if the car were to run lean, it would result in detonation and if sustained, can burn holes in pistons... not explode the rods and such.
Could be that things were ready to 'go' from all the rev limiter bounces and flogging I've done to it? Then, once a little boost was introduced, that was the straw that broke it?
This whole thing is full of question marks.
In the coming days, I'll be checking on prices for FRPP crate engines, rebuilds, Livernois short rolling block ($$$), etc.
It all boils down to money for me; economical (aka. cast) or forged. This is what I have to decide on first, then explore my options.

Why ?? Is there something that they don't do that the other Mfgs do ??
I'm not a proponent just curious. I hadn't heard of them before and after Bill mentioned them look at their site and it seemed like they knew what they were doing.
BAP business ?? Well conventional wisdom would state that you can't get what Tom is getting out of the stock pump. I have no freaking idea, so I stay out of that altogether.

Well finally some good news. Spark plug was removed successfully. He's testing pressure overnight to make sure the leak the car had is fixed. Car was dyno tuned today. Tomorrow go in guages and rechecking everything. Saturday pick-up. I'm curious to see what he's achieved powerwise.
He also said he has a GT500 fuel pump that came in with another kit of his and wont need it. He said he might be able to cut me a real good deal on it since he'll have no use for it. So I may also come ahead with a nice fuel pump sometime in the future. We'll see how that goes.

Tribute to Ray wife
We started our day with our own salute

After a cruise to Pasadena we met George and Brian...

The grounds here are very senic it's a Catholic girls school

Here's the SoCal guy's trying not to think about forged internals

Ray talking about living life and enjoying it, maybe an SC isn't so far away

This singer did a fantastic ballad from the Beatles
Couldn't remember the song tile DOH!

The SoCal group after the ceremony...with our new bud Ian!

Checkout Ray's wedding photo, I was the best man. I was a handsome S _ _ t back then

Luis was caught trying to make the move on two Catholic girls
Okay Luis 20 hail Mary's each

After we left we went to Woodranch for some BBQ
Looked like we went to Italy.

TacoBill's Combo Tri Tip & Pork Ribs

Brian and his burger...

Then we hit the super slab and found our way home...

And of even more mods then I did last year!
Ray, my condolances
Not against them... just don't see why one is necessary for me. Plus, I'm down to 8 psi now, so the demand is even less.

Ray it looks like it was a lovely service. What a great thing to honor your wife the way you did. It speaks to great lengths what a good man you are Ray.
It also speaks volumes as to what great friends and supporters you have Ray. Its extremely nice for Bill, Brian George, Jed and Luis to attend and support you in your time of celebration of life for Marianne. Also know you had friends and supporters throughout this country with you in thoughts and prayers during your service, I know I was there with you!
Thanks Jed for the glimpse to the past with the wedding pictures. You and Ray were studs, look at that black hair. Looks like times has been good to both of you.

Give us more than that Turbo..

Brenspeed e-mailed tune.
Yes I know.
Assume the position Luis..

18x9 should allow you to run 275's.
the slings and arrows of the outrageous mod bug

I have always thought though rims were very good looking, especially for the Mach theme!

Ray- Sorry I couldn't make it down. Looks like you had plenty of support their though. The pic of Jed and you on your wedding day was hillarious.
Jed-Awesome pics.
Tom-JMO but I like the look of these better. Only negative is that they only have them in 17x9's unless you go with the 99-04 wheels. I think you'll need a spacer though.

Another wheel that is close, but unique, is the "HotWheels" SixtyEight wheel

and I know I've seen the inner portion painted before, just don't know where at the moment.
