Jed, you going to have them throw in the MGW shifter while it's up on the lift?

Mixing n' matching Roush and Saleen is like beer and wine... should be one or the other.

Which box is Charlie's? The one gettin' bent over?

I posted in email already... here is what I'm getting next:

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...tang/turbo.htm

$5800 includes EVERYTHING and all that needs to be changed is the injectors. That also includes a handheld tuner with the tune needed for the turbo.

I could get some of that money back selling my tuner and stock injectors.

That is 8psi and is safe for the engine. Under normal driving, the car still acts like it has a naturally asperated engine. When you get on it, there is ZERO turbo lag and full boost is in by 3000 - 3200 RPM.

He said the install is easy and all that has to be removed is the front clip.

After that, he said I could drive to any dyno and it would get 450+ RWHP on 91 octane.

Tom that system looks sweet I like how this guy customized his pipes. I'm curious what the exhaust plumbing looks like?

They already got the email about it! They know I don't have a problem with Granatelli and that my '89 has a bunch of their stuff on it. That kit uses the same turbo as the Brenspeed kit, but I like the look of the Granatelli plumbing better.

I like that, too, but I don't think I would paint my pipes white. I would keep the stainless steel look.

Check out that link for a video and more pictures. At the end of the video, you can see how all the plumbing looks in the front of the car.

I'm not ordering this tomorrow, or anything. I should wait until the car is out of warranty but that's too long! Maybe early next year???

If I had HP fever, I would get the 650+ RWHP kit and rebuild my entire engine!

I might have GTR do this just to save some down time so we can play in the PV Sandbox! I'm going there Saturday afternoon in the Highlander to drop off the Watt's Links for the future install.

Bill this will be our little secret Besides it has no "Saleen" badging on it I think I got carried away from my JedCanCook persona that I did the fusion thing with car parts! But you know the JDM/Saleen is the best unit looking out there. The one from Lakewood looks so JCW!

Since I'm King of the tree I get choice of selection. But you know I'll do the right thing. I'll let you guess that outcome.

Jed's taking the top box.

Sounds like a busy schedule tomorrow. Sure you can make it back in time for the PV shoot? I already got the models lined up.

I almost did too, but then Leo reminded me who gets the Mustang in a few years.

Back to my wheel and tire research.

Tom, you're jumping into this rather qucikly, so I'm assuming you don't have the boss's approval yet.

Or will it be ???

Very good!

That was my main thought driving home from work: how to present it to her.

First, I lower the price slightly. $3800?

Second, I tell her about all the stuff I have in the garage that I can sell. This part is true... I have an engine block, EFI intake, throttle body, crank, cam, pistons, heads, rims&tires, the stock injectors, the SCT Tuner, K&N air filter, etc, etc, etc that I would sell to pay a good portion of the turbo.

Third, figure out how I can work in something for her in the deal.

In all honesty... I will bring it up tonight or tomorrow, but I'll tell her I'm not doing it today or next week. I do want to do a little more research on them first.

$3800 huh? Just hope she doesn't come across the receipt!

Do it tonight. Would love to hear all about it later this evening. Good luck Tom.

I'm thinking tomorrow will better. They want to go to the Orlando Science Center tomorrow and I didn't want to go (I wanted to install the A-arm brace), and I work this Sunday since we are going to Key West next weekend.

So, since I already have an A-arm brace (and since she doesn't know that that was the reason why I didn't want to go), I will tell her tonight that I decided to go along.

Then, tomorrow she'll be happy.

You have to be extremely calculated when you have the Mrs. anywhere near financial's. There are times I've have to present the business case to the Mrs. to justify a mod purchase and oh can we be creative.................
