I started a poll for which Strut Tower brace to get for the '89:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=72376

I'm pretty sure I know which one I'm going to get, but I'm just trying to get different views and opinions - in case there is something I'm overlooking cosmetic-wise.

When did you say that? I can't keep up with everything here, anymore.

When you turn a corner, the ANTI-swaybar counteracts body sway. This would be much more noticeable if you removed the swaybar and you still had stock springs. With the lowered springs, there is less body roll. So, unless you are really going hard through a corner, you don't miss the swaybar.

The A-arm, or G-load, brace prevents the A-arm mounts from flexing through corners by triagulating the frame. The body will still sway, or roll, just as much with or without the A-arm brace.

Even if we don't go through corners hard, the A-arm brace will help prevent fatigue caused by said flexing.

Hey you're probably right, stock HU is most likely boring...........lame................and I've been lined up in the past as boring

I can take it, the stock HU works just fine for me and to be honest I don't have it on to much as I like to hear the roar of the 4.6 and the Stingers.

For Leo's $15 A-arm brace, he may or may not feel a difference.

If I get BMR's $60 brace, I WILL feel a difference.

Good one!

Leo, is that sale still on? And is this the brace: (the same part number?)

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...a-armbrace.htm

And how do I get it for $15+$15, again?

That's the one. Call in and say you saw the deal on mod fords or from your friend "leo" who just bought one on Friday.

By the way... I'm leaning toward the black strut tower brace, since the following items are black:

caster/camber plates
engine block
power steering reservoir

The following items are chrome/polished:

air cleaner
rocker covers
pullies (4 of them)
battery cover
radiator
carburetor
hood lifts

I think I need to offset the chrome a little.

I just ordered it.

The '89 has a bunch of Granatelli suspension stuff and it's all high quality, plus can't pass up a $15 deal.

And, that powder-coated blue will look great under the car!

I've been here... just have missed stuff because I can't keep up! Has it been that long??

Plus I think I'd buy anything for $15!

Should I give you the write-up now, or after I put it in?

Remove bolts, put bar in place, install bolts, tighten bolts.

Looking at MDR's special on Whipples, it looks like the 500hp version is the only way to go.

I mean geez, most of us here are already approaching 350hp NA at the crank and it seems the 400hp version is hardly worth the $4900.

Funny enough it's the first post I went to logging onto TMS. The 400 hp version may not seem worth it but I bet you could get alot more out of it quicker and cheaper than you could getting a N/A car over 400 and beyond. But other than the warranty aspect I don't see why anyone would go that route.

CONGRATS LEO !!! Great looking car nabs a great looking trophy. Sorry to gear that you got skunked Bill. Not enough nik-nacs... you need more chotckies.. Maybe more flair, you know show how you feel

I miss my car and it's only been 3 days.

Anywho No Mustang Content below...Need to find a #73 around here somewhere.

At Rincon it was cold and Seattle-worthy grey all day Sunday and Monday, cleared up as we left this morning, figures.

It is Cold and blustery in Pismo Beach, oh wel. My view from the trailer.

True, if the car was bone stock. But in my case, doesn't it seems ridiculous to spend $4900 for 50 more HP? Then again, spending $5640 for an additional 150 HP seems pretty crazy too!

Yup, I needed more flair... Attachment 34403

This solves my "problem":

From Maximum Motorsports: Chrome strut tower braces are no longer available. Due to the EPA (environmental protection agency) here in California, quality chrome has become too hard to find.

**** CA!

The vote was currently 8 black to 4 chrome, anyway (someone pm'd me and said they voted chrome but meant to vote black). I'll let the poll go just to see where it goes.
