Ok guys and gals I need your help. Can anyone tell me what year this Ranchero is. I've done research and can't figure it out.
It was my sister's car and she passed away a few years ago. I had the police run the vin and they couldn't find any trace of the car in their system. I'm trying to get rid of the car but legally I have to jump through so many hoops. If you know of anybody that may want the car for parts only let me know. Must get rid of within 30 days. Thanks.

The factory **** shaft base is round. The Hurst handle is flat. I'd imagine you can do some cutting and welding to make it work, but haven't seen one done yet.
No offense Ray, but call the pick-a-parts tow-truck, get your $50, and move on.

For $45, I don't think anyone can argue that it's not a good deal.
I still have mine, all cleaned up and in a sealed plastic bag.
Not sure what I want to do with it yet. In fact, I'm not really sure why I still have it.
It's sitting next to my PBF emblem in the roll-a-way.

I guess the days where a 100% American built cars are gone.
This is one of the reasons why an iconic car like the Shelby can't be compared to a Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. I seriously doubt any of the aforementioned manufacturers outsource their parts to Mexico or China. But, I could be wrong.

My transmission in my 99 Mustang was built in Mexico and failed after 1000 miles (stuck in reverse) and had to be rebuilt. And, of course, some of todays 3650's also come out of Mexico. Mine was replaced.

Not sure I follow... if you are going to poke fun, it really should make sense. 
Denial of what? I'm pretty sure I own a stock shifter and I'm also pretty sure there is ZERO notchiness.

Well, add another mod to my list:
I just ordered a set of Infinity Reference speakers for the 4 corners. Crutchfield is having a good sale on them right now, since they are last year's models. I got them for $140 shipped (and, as with all crutchfield stuff, comes with free adapters and the instructions on how to take apart the interior, which are GOLDEN).
Hopefully, this will allow me to increase the volume without having distortion, which is critical with a vert.
I had Infinity kappa's on all four corners in another car, and LOVED them: their highs were GREAT, but they lacked any bass (an infinity basslink fixed that problem though). Crutchfield said that the references will be similar in terms of range, so I'm thinking that the factory door subs should be able to satisfy my needs. I'm not a bass-junkie, I just like to hear it as it complements the rest of the music. But, I do NOT like to feel it.
Anyone have an opinion on this from personal experience. Obviously, it's a little late now, but they do have 30 day guarantee just in case.
(BTW, a search on this forum brought back many responses that I've read, but there aren't really any that address my issue of whether the door sub will provide adequate bass. But, I'm thinking it will).
