Ponies on The Run!
+2 Do it. It's a great deal and it's very likely that ST will be un-installing it. To have them re-install it shouldn't be a stretch.
The only one I saw that was " Manual Only" or "Automatic Only" is the Whipple kit... and yes they do that because of the "strain" on the tranny, which is BS. The true difference between the kits is one is Intercooled and all the fuel parts you could need (pumps, Injectors) the other is Non-Cooled. The tranny had nothing to do with it.

It appears that Super Chargers making more that 400 HP (such as the intercooled kits) are not reccomended for the automatic.
Does anybody know anyone with a supercharged automatic?
Yes, the intercooler makes another 100 horsepower...there is a intercooled vortek kit that says that too.

ChevyKiller, Don_w and more as an example. Adam at ST has an automatic. Although these are pretty extreme examples. At Barona in the crowd we were in I was the only Manual and every one of us were blown and 'cooled
I think and I could be wrong, but the problem with intercooled superchargers is that you can pump the power up so much that the auto becomes the weak link. A non-cooled unit is going to be limited on the power. Once you go intercooled because they typically include the higher capability fuel system the power can get to be pretty steep.

Most of the drag racers are racing with intercooled supercharges and automatics.

I'll put my ear to the ground. I know that another member, who as since sold his car
, had 500+ crank HP and an automatic with no problems (I can't remember the rwhp). What is the limit I don't know, I do know there are people with 500+ RWHP and not too many problems, again I don't specifically know the "limit" but I think that a basic kit would be OK. Your tuner would be able to help you there.

I cannot stress enough that ST would be the best place to get this installed. Yeah they're outta the way but they put it on Adam's car and they know that specific kit, any weird crap and they'd be ready for it or know about it. Tell 'em Brian sent ya
