I don't think the rest of the guys here can handle another shifter debate.

No issue at all, just a new spring rate to satisfy the majority of people.

Looks like my shifter should be here tomorrow. The big question is do I put the progressive springs in first or try the original springs...

From what I read on that other thread, I would put in the progressive springs. Sounds like they ease off on the notchyness a little since the springs are progressive as they compress when you go to 1st, 2nd, and 5th, while still providing the snap back to center where the spring tension isn't progressive, but instead releases all at once (when you want help going into 3rd from 2nd).

There's a chance your shifter may already have the progressive springs in.

If not, and it comes seperately, try out the original springs first for a week or two, then decide.

Either way, I'll be doing a write-up on the swap (as soon as I get mine).

As most of y'all have probably seen, Redline comes out tomorrow.

So, my question is: How many people are actually going to go out to see it. I'm considering going, but the nearest theater is 45 minutes away, and I think that the DVD will be out before I can get to there

I'll most likely wait for the DVD.

Dang! 45 minutes?? Like in the boonies, Mike?

I already got up close to the Redline cars (and girls) at the autoshow, maybe that's the reason why I won't be rushing to see it.

Sorry for the SUPERSIZED pics, but I think you guys will appreciate it.

Here's the Enzo before it got wrecked..

And, a shot of the Redline girls!

Well, we do have a Wally-world / strip mall (radioshack, Lowes, Belk, etc) about 10 minutes away. But, malls, real stores (ie-circuit city, best buy, old navy, anything like that), and good restaurants (heck, even chain restaurants) are about 45 minutes out.

I'm sure y'all have heard the saying: if you can't find it at Walmart, you don't need it.

Yeah, I'm in the sticks. Actually, I do like it here though. One nice thing about being in the country is that there are many side roads to have some fun on.

But, I do like going back to VA every once in a while. There's a LOT more to do.

The chicks in the pics are nice, but I'm not putting my money down to see that movie. It's Fast and the Furious for exotics. I'd rather see Grindhouse (awesomeflick BTW), Death Proof is more of a car thing than Redline could ever be.

yeah it's been dead. I've been super busy at work so even I posted less than normal.

I think it's been a dead week. There has got to be something to stir the folks up.

Maybe we should all go see redline just to have something to talk about. Oh wait, that would cause ticket sales to quadruple

In response to it being like F&F for exotics...that may not be a bad thing. I made the dumb mistake of seeing F&F the weekend it came out. Every seat in the theater was filled.

I honestly didn't think that F&F was that bad...perhaps because it was something new that exposed stuff that shown before (albeit heavily exagerated).

But, I never did make it to 2F2F, which I was a little upset about (mainly because I wanted to see the Saleen). I then heard from friends that they wrecked all the nice cars, and by the time I was able to see it, I saw that it was coming out on DVD the next month. So, I just waited for the DVD, and am glad that I did.

For Toyko drift, I did go to see that, as that exposed something new again. For some reason, that movie got a lot of grief, but I thought it was the best out of the 3, at least in terms of having the least exageration (except for having an import engine in a domestic car...that's VERY exagerated, and probably in no way doable without extensive mods). The only thing I didn't like is that they just threw in cars from the drifting series (with decals and all), and passed them off as people's real cars. That's like putting NASCAR cars into a movie and saying that it's someone's actual car.

So, how's that for bringing up a new topic. It's partially mustang related: there's a saleen in 2F2F, and a old school mustang in tokyo drift.

BTW, to make things worse, I decided to buy each of these on DVD when they came out...just adds to the car movie collection.
