exhaust dillema

After going through several axle-backs, and listening to Taco Bills video clips several thousand times, I finally buckled down and purchased a set of Borlas from Graypny. Satisfaction achieved.

OK I finally got the wiring figured out with a LOT of help from INFINITY over in the Interior & Audio Modifications Section.
Here is the way to wire the Factory subs if you want to utilize an aftermarket sub to drive a sub in the trunk & run the factory 8s off the HU.
Attachment 8317
If you want to run the factory subs ONLY off the HU, you would just use 1 Y-Adapter and go from the red & white HU Pre-amp out to the RED RCA on the Metra Harness.

Where did you use the velcro?
It's strap velcro. You use it just like zip ties, but its softer and wider. They sell it for holding cables together and such just like the ties.

One more step in the Audio System Upgrade Complete.
Installed the Sub tonight, so the work in the trunk is almost done, just a few connections to attach (once I get the spades I have on order)
Hopefully this weekend I'll get it ALL done. YES YES YES 3-Day weekends LOVE THEM.

Looking pretty good, Daryl. Can't wait to see the head unit installed.

But, is the pic you showed just the black, or carbon fiber? If carbon fiber, then they will be more expensive. What is the price of the ones you show?

The reason I like the black housing is because it matches the headlight housing better:

But, I wouldn't want carbon fiber.

EDIT: Saw in the pic that it said Mustang Tuning, so I checked for myself. They are calling them just "black housings", and $119.99 with free shipping is not a bad price at all. On eBay, the clears were going for higher than that at times. I think I'll look through Mustang Tuning for some more stuff and place an order.
So did you ever buy them?? I'm sitting here staring at them and can't make up my mind. I just know if I buy them I'll find them for $70 in a couple of days.

Not yet... but I would buy them quick. When they put stuff on sale, it might mean that they are no longer going to stock them. I doubt you'll find them for much cheaper (with free shipping).

As soon as you buy them... stop looking for them! Then you won't find them any cheaper.

Hi y'all. We're in mid-move. Moving out of the hotel today and into the house! Sorry to be MIA for so long. Tom - glad you survived the 'cane.

My car's a$$ jiggled alot right after the fender bender. I thought it was caused by that. It still jiggles a little. I may fix it. As for my *other* a$$, well, let's just leave that one alone for now. I'm bustin' it trying to get in shape for Vegas 9/27. And all the "squats" and "lunges" from moving are adding quite a bit of tone.

Karman - I am very interested in your velcro front plate attachment. I need to do something relatively temporary very soon (like within a couple of days) before I go to my court date on 9/11 for not having a front plate. I figure if I tell them it's on now and turn on the charm, maybe I'll get off without the $140 ticket.

Daryl - looks like the stereo's coming along...I haven't read in detail yet - too much catching up to do.

Bill - I haven't been on myspace in forever. Tell Chris I miss him!

See y'all when we have internet next Tuesday night!

Welcome, Susan!

Wait, we already know you...

See, Bill, Susan's a$$ jiggles a lot, too. We want some pictures of your *other* a$$ when it's toned so we can tell you what we think.

Bet it will feel great to finally get into the house!

Drove up to my mother's house and me and my brother entered a golf tournament. It lasted 5 holes and they called it off. It was 47°, overcast, windy & raining. WTF it was 100°+ last week. I was freezing my A$$ off.
Welcome to weather in the Midwest.

On the way to my Mom's last night Jordan and I stopped by McDonalds for dinner. As we are walking in a guy drives by in a pick-up and says "Hey wanna run 'em for Pinks?"
I looked at him smiled and said "No thanks, I don't need a pick-up" then walked inside.

The plate mount looks like this:
Attachment 8413

The thin red circles (if you can see them) are where I wrapped the heavy duty velcro straps. The center is wrapped horizontally around the center post. The sides are around the black plastic on the car. The green circle is where I put the felt because I'm sure that at speed this can move the 1/4" to touch the paint. That's all it might move though because it surprised me how solid it is. (I've driven at some high speeds with no problem) It all comes off very quickly (a little longer to put back on).
I hope this helps.
One side benefit the plateholder will touch the ground before the bottom of the car (a forward curb feeler).
With the plate it looks like this:
Attachment 8412Attachment 8414
I put a clear cover with a black border over the plate.
Hope that helps.

Bad news

I'm so p!ssed right now. I just go to LA where I'm spending the weekend at my grandmothers and she let me park the stang in her garage. Well long story short I dented the right side of my front bumper!!!
Not a huge dent and no problem with the paint but still!!!
I'll take pics when I get back.

....

Opinions pls. I'm thinking of going with this two color scheme for my chin spoiler once I order it. Obviously I plan on doing it in black and matte black. Probably won't stand out as much as this guys but oh well.
