Hey! I drive it! I already have a whopping 450ish miles on it.

Yikes! If ya have no felt or moleskin, it was just a matter of time.
Hmm... was this the same installer that swore up and down that you didn't need any felt? Get them retinted (hopefully for free) and then follow this link.

Here you go, a real comparison between a matte and a painted CDC Classic on a black GT.

I still like the color matched for some reason on the Black. Some other color I can see the matte. JMO though.

You even get a free rear view camera! I read a post a while back where a guy installed his rear camera in the trunk/hatch keyhole in that fake gas cap, looked totally custom. It's what I'm planning on doing.

Once again tks for all the input.

Bill-How much did it cost you to get yours painted and where? TKS for the pics they've made my decision even harder. I think they both look good. I wonder If I can have both of them? j/k. Do you happen to have another pic of the painted one from a different angle?

Tom-I agree with you about the whole mach1 matte black thing. It's just I think that the matte and the painted each have their own qualities.

Doug's Auto Body in Torrance. Cash price was $130 to color it Torch Red.

Only issue was it took a couple weeks to get back. Seems long, but super quick compared to Daryl's wait.

Here's a few more pics of my friend's GT (fellow club member). As an added bonus, my car's in the pics!

tks again Bill. Now I'm left with the worst part for me about getting mods, my indecisiveness. I can't decide wether or not to have it color matched. If I get it from partshopper.com in a matteblack it will cost me $255 if I get from them upainted it will run me $220 plus $130 for paint.

Painted Black

Pro's
Looks more OEM.

Con's
Cost (more expensive)
Will probably get scratched and chip the paint.
Will probably cause me to go insane when the above happens.
Will probably look like poop after I kill a 10000 bugs with it.

Matte Black
Pro's
Cost (cheaper)
Less hassle (don't have take it to a body shop)
Probably won't look as bad after time
Can attempt to repaint myself if it gets chipped or scratched.
Goes with Mach1 look

Con's
Uh can't really think of any other than the fact I think the painted one looks slightly better but then again not really.

AHHHHH!!! I can't believe it. Even with a pro and con sheet I can't decide.

Maybe it's time for a poll. Although I probably still won't decide on one.
Here's the link to the poll.

This is my $.02 on your dilemma, if you like both, but can't decide, get the Matte Black.

For me (and the ones who chose to get it painted), there was no debate, it was color matched or nothing.

Good way to look at it I guess. Also if I do it that way I can always pay the extra money later down the road if I decide I want it color matched.

Can't wait to set off some car alarms and scare the poop out of unsuspecting pedestrians.

Exactly.

Don't forget, the Matte Black is not injected, it still can scratch and show that yellowish polyurethane finish below it. (If you ordered the spoiler unpainted, this is the natural finish you'll get).

MIL Eliminator post. Took 3 weeks for his light to pop up. I'm pretty sure you'll have your SCT XCAL2 by then.

I just recieved my pony emblems from Kevin today. I have to say they're way bigger than I thought but it's ok with me. I'll post pics tomorrow after the install. Tks to Kevin for including all kinds of booklets and posters and the seat belt extender.

WTF is the seat belt extender for? Is it for "supersized" drivers?

Looks like the majority is voting for the color matched spoiler.
