Although $7500 sounds like a lot of dime (and it is), it's still cheap compared to what I've spent to achieve what you can in under $10G's.

Go cheap as possible. If the goal is to linelock the fronts for the track, then just do that.

True plus George you've already got the forged internals so you can go with the high HP package and then some and not worry about blowing the engine.

I'm the opposite. Buy the best you can afford. It's not like they're 1K+ in price. If you go the cheapest route, as the consensus is on s197, you'll eventually be replacing the solenoids with stronger ones, which the better kits have ex: PMP/Jegs
For 8500, what install would likely be, maybe 9K it isn't too bad really. Sure it's a coupla grand over what a normal twin-screw would be but the upper hand is the already forged motor... that is several thousands cheaper that anyone with a TS and pushing will eventually have to pay.

Yep, the quality is there and the price is certainly right....how often does THAT come together....?
I'm very pleased with these Rotors.
The "Low Dust" pads however seem to be more like "Extra Dust" pads so far....I bed them in properly and still it's a dust factory....AND my stopping distance has increased.....hopefully that will improve with use, but so far, I'm not so impressed with those. Stay tuned on that one.
Anyone else use these pads?

After work yesterday I was cruisin down Sepulveda blvd in Hermosa Beach and I saw this 65 Stang. I looked pretty clean from the outside the engine is a little dirty and needs some TLC. It's not an authentic Shelby but it's completely badged like one. The dealership wants 31K, I think that’s a little on the high side but I don't really know. If I had a big garage I would be tempted to re-build this thing and put a new crate motor in it. I think it would be a cool project car.

Not really debating which line lock kit to get. I'm pretty set on the SLP kit because it's the most oem of the two and it's a single solenoid which I think is the better way instead of two solenoids. My question was should I bother getting SS brake lines or not. To be on the safe side I could always just buy a single jegs solenoid and use it instead of the one in the SLP kit.
