WHATS FOR DINNER?
Prime Rib Ditched the turkey for Christmas Eve dinner and did some prime rib. Next year I'll do the same but I don't think I'll buy as much. I had about 12 pounds so I think I'll do half that next year.
Creamy Mash Potatoes - pretty neat, little bit of milk, butter, sour cream, and cream cheese in the potatoes then a layer of fresh whipped cream mixed with cheddar and horseradish on the top for a little kick.
Sausage Stuffing - used Italian sausage instead of breakfast sausage and that went over really good
Meatballs in Cranberry Sauce - My family just call the Sweet ***** but they always go over good. Just some Italian Meatballs in a sauce made from cranberry sauce and chili sauce with a little lemon juice and brown sugar with a bit of beef bullion thrown in.
Maple Syrup Braised Carrots
Sweet Potatoes
Bread Rolls
Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Pie

I splurged tonight. Had a NY strip on the grill, a 2 egg omelet with cheese and a bowl of grits.
Haven't had steak in 3-4 months, haven't had eggs in 3-4 moths and haven't had grits in 6-8 months.
Dang it was good.

It depends on what kind of meal I'm eating them with. For breakfast or with breakfast type of meal, I like them with butter and sugar. For a side with a dinner I like them with butter salt and pepper and sometimes cheese.

There's a seafood place here that has some of the best grits I've ever had. They're stone ground and really rich, and they'll throw chunks of white cheddar in there. Holy cow it's good!
