pasta fazool - http://www.tukatz.com/html/food_and_...e_fagioli.html
Omit the water and don't drain the beans. The liquid from the beans is richer than water.
If using HOT Italian sausage, omit the crushed red pepper.

I don't eat fast food very often these days, but occasionally when I'm on the road I'll feel the need for it and for some reason I usually go to McDonalds. No idea why, never liked it as a kid, ate it some as a teen, but never been one to eat it on a regular basis. I guess I just feel drawn toward it when I'm on the road because its usually uniform in quality, close to the road, and fast.

So today I needed something to eat and I got off at an exit for one for the first time in a long while.

Did you know they charge 4 bucks for a Roy-Al with cheese (Pulp Fiction reference)? WTF?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?! For that little thing? My buddy that has the bbq restaurant has a killer burger, its a hand made, fresh when you order, huge burger, at least a 10 ounce patty, loaded with fresh toppings and its $3.50. WTF?!?! How in the hell do people go 3 miles up the road to McDonalds for a 1/4 pounder when he has fresh homemade burgers that are twice the size and a hell of a lot better?

I used to eat royal with cheese but lately I just can't stand mcdonalds. But yes they are quick.

What's funny is the best Burger King I've ever had was near Scott's house in Alabama.

Speaking of that Burger King...

I don't mean this to be racist at all but black people are the nicest people. At least to me. Always funny and just pleasurable. Even black people I've know with criminal records and stuff not that I've known a lot. They are just nicer that white people or Hispanics. It's like they could have a conversation with anyone as long as you weren't to pigheaded and racist to actually talk to them like real people.

I don't know. Just my observation. Maybe they're nice to me because I look like an ******* not to be messed with. I'll take poor black folk over poor white trash any day.

Not sure what to make of this post. Just remembering how nice and talkative everyone was at the Burger King in Alabama and also the guy who waved at my today while I cordially waited for him to cross the street. Black people wave. Give me a gym full of white people and I'll end up talking to the one black person there.

Is that weird?

Hate McD's. Dont eat much fast food, but if I've got to stop somewhere it'll be a Burger King/Hardee's. And yeah, the fast food places have gotten about as bad as some of the sit down restaurants.

I haven't had mcdonald's in probably ten years. Just the thought makes me feel sickly. I always liked burger king better, but I haven't been there in years either.

It's funny that you brought up a pulp fiction line, as I was watching it today.
