That pisses me off

Glad I went out drinking instead

 

Glad I stayed in drinking. Much cheaper, didn't kill anyone trying to drive, didn't have to pay anyone to haul me around, and I can make them the way I like. Perfect for a cheap **** like me.

 

Well I brought my own bottle. Paid for 2 beers for the wife and 5 for me. Got to watch my two oldest dance some. Then the little lady drive is home. What's not to like?

 

That sounds pretty damned good if you got to see the kids have fun.

I don't think I mentioned this before, but I experienced some strange **** (to me at least) when I was on vacation last month. I've noticed it before but never said anything about it. **** like that just doesn't happen here.

When you get down on the Gulf, there are a TON of restaurants that are BYOB. For those not familiar, that stands for Bring Your Own Bottle. Its a way for places to get around having to buy an insanely expensive liquor license. You can go into a restaurant and tote in a half gallon of Crown (or whatever you drink) if you'd like, and they have no problem with it. They like you to buy soft drinks for mixers, but its not uncommon to see a group of people sitting at a table eating with numerous bottles of liquor scattered around and them mixing their own drinks.

Kind of strange to me the first few times I saw it, that just doesn't happen here, but I like it. Pretty freakin' cool.

Another thing I've noticed over the years down there is that many places are closed on Monday. Yes, Monday. Even a chain like Ruth's Chris is closed on Monday. No idea what that is about, up here a lot of places are closed on Sunday because of church, the Lord, and all that, but when you get on the Gulf coast, Monday is evidently some sort of holy day to a lot of people down there.

Ever seen that in La. Al. ?

i guess i just learned a little bit about the nature of the mocking bird .. i love them .. for the past month iv`e had my pinto parked near my front door of my home .. i noticed my mocking bird was not singing .. he was too busy fighting with himself in my mirrows on the pinto .. today i finally decided to move the pinto and scrub off the birdcrap ..immediately after moving the car he started singing his head off .. he had thought he was fighting off another bird the whole time ....

I forgot it was on until about 10 oclock. Was watching NHRA and thought of it then watched it when it came back on at 11.
