Well, I was told I have "obligations" tonight, so I had to cut it short and only stripped out the cooking space. The rest of it still looks like ****, so no pictures. It's now curing so I can fulfill my "obligations" tonight.

I'm watching mystery diners on the food channel. Omg!! Have you ever watched that?!? This girl rubs a bun on her boob or under her arm, idk it was under her shirt, then she gives it to a customer. Gross!!!

 

About to hit up the bar with my buddies and get my drink on. Long week...

 

It would be a good show if it weren't all completely staged and scripted. I can't stand to watch it.

 

I doubt if I would watch it again. I just always end up on the food network when nothing else is on.

 

It's 5:47 am and in the distance I can see a foundation crew under work lights using a laser level to level forms. Must be about to pour a slab this morning.

Done with seven hours on the brisket. Seven more it looks like, then let it sit for half an hour before carving. Hardest part is always being hungry the whole time.

 

Pics! i've never cooked a brisket, sorta timid about it for some strange reason. I got cooking pork down pat, love beef, just having gotten the gall to try yet.
