What Did You Learn Today?
If they would simply stop screwin' around with some stupid D pad on the keyboard like the Droid has... STANDARD QWERTY KEYBOARD ONLY, DAMMIT... I think I would jump from my Sprint/Rumor1. As it is, I was seriously contemplating the HTC Touch Pro2 from Verizon, as it's about 150 cheaper when all is said and done vs. the Sprint one... but it's gimped a little too from Sprint's.
There are so many choices... how do you choose? Just jump in? I refuse to buy Apple. After reading about the Droid... it's not as good for me as the HTC Touch Pro2. That, and Verizon's plans simply suck compared to Sprints.
What I'd want? A Droid inside with an HTC Touch Pro2 outside. THAT would be just about perfect.

Droid has been working good for me so far. Keyboard is usable and I agree on the D pad. They should have left that out and centered the keyboard more. It's a long stretch for my right thumb to properly type, and the space bar should have been wider. With those two blank keys on the bottom row, there is plenty of room for a wider space bar. The onscreen keyboard isnt too bad, but this is my first time using onscreen, so it'll take some getting used to. Luckily I have skinny fingers, so that helps.

I jumped on the Droid since i've always likes Motorola phones. Better reception out here in the woods than Samsung, LG, etc. The HTC Eris is nice too and considered it. Their UI looks nice. They do have another one rumored to be coming out this quarter called the Passion.

Motorola's Media Link Software is supposed to sync your music with a droid phone, and claims to work with iTunes.

once again, verizon's ad's are amazing and really catchy
I absolutely love the "there's a map for that" bit! From a businessman standpoint, that's absolutely brilliant!

As creative as the ads might be, I view them from a slightly different perspective. As a Verizon customer, I can see why they create them, but it just serves as a constant reminder to me that Verizon doesn't have the phone that I really want, which is annoying. Sure the network is great, but you don't need to remind me that you don't have the phone I want at the same time you remind me you do have the network I want.
yah well just you wait until this happens to you , I have the new 3GS for about two weeks alls good then sometime after the latest software update or at the same time I musta have got an App that will not let the phones camera be recognised by any pc, if I set it up as new & do not apply any apps its works but if I load any app setting (and I've tried them one at a time) it screws up the camera grrr so there be something corruping a file some where & I aim to find it !
