What Did You Learn Today?
On a PC, I wouldn't use anything except Firefox. IE burnt me once with a nasty virus and the switch to FF solved my problems.....then I switched to Mac and I use both Safari and FF, but if I had to pick, I would say FF is the better of the two, but not by much. Safari gets hung up every once in awhile. FF seems flawless.
Oh, and congrats on the switch over to Mac Gary. Hope you're enjoying it. I know I love the switch.

Performance wise, I'd say they're about dead even. Safari seems juuuuuuuuuust a bit faster overall to me though. Plus, since I'm a MobileMe user, I get the added integration with my Bookmarks etc. with Safari.
The one thing about Firefox that irritates me is that it's still a Carbon app, rather than a Cocoa app so that it doesn't have a fully native look and feel to it. If you want the guts of Firefox (aka Mozilla,) but the proper Mac OS look and feel, Camino is a great alternative.

This comment made me laugh !
Wow, another "Hotwheels" vehicle. These folks at Ford are NAILING my "gotta have it" nerve! What a delicious vehicle. Stunning. I may end up with a duo of Fords if this thing hits the showroom.

.....so I'm actually looking to move to ATT this weekend to get the iPhone. However, would still be interested to hear what you think.
Hmm, I was hoping that eventually I could get an iPhone on Verizon, but not looking good. From what I've heard the Droid is a pretty good phone, but it doesn't sync with iTunes, which is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

However, would still be interested to hear what you think. As far as music goes, I use a Zune so I don't need compatibility there. If there is music I want to put on the phone, I just get a DRM free version and move it to the phone manually.
very possible here in Canada Rogers was the only carrier and the direct competitions are Bell & Telus now in about a Month Telus will be carrying the iphone as well , must be the storm kinda sucks and thier Blackberrys hardly get any apps here , but ib the USA you can so they must be jumping on that train to cash in too ?
so my 8830 World edition BBerry sits in a box not as functional an my iphone 3gs at all.

I don't know anything about the iPhone, but from reviews and what not, it always comes down to service on ATT being lousy and the iPhone would be great on Verizons network.
Verizon has always had a lot of boring phones, locked out features, and had to push their own slow software on them. Android is a big change for them. Be interesting to see the iPhone there as well.

I'm just hitting the point where I'm growing tired of waiting for VZW to get the iPhone. There has been speculation for over 2 yrs now and still nothing. Meanwhile, I still don't have one. Likewise, Android-based phones could improve, and I must say the Droid looks like a great imitation (sorry, can't help but call it that after seeing vids of it next to the iPhone), but my entire house is wired with Apple products and about half of my music is the old DRM version. Not to mention, I can't imagine anything integrating as well with my MBP, AppleTV, etc. as the iPhone. Of course, knowing my luck as soon as I leave VZW (after over 10yrs now), they'll get the iPhone.
the Britts are coming tomorrow

I'm due for a new phone next year.
But would that mean I shouldn't ask for a touch for Christmas?

Thing is, I leave for Hawaii in a few weeks and really would like to have one for the flight......unfortunately Q3 of 2010 doesn't help me much. But, it will drive me nuts if I switch and then they get one in 2010. Decisions decisions.
