Even if apple released 4g, the network isn't ready for it... Everyone would suffer, droid and iPhone users alike

 

You do see them. Everything on the screen is a pixel. The smaller they are the more you can fit on that screen making detail possible. The bigger they are the less you can fit on that screen making detail impossible. On a side note, I got an email from eBay and they'll give me 175.00 for my sons 3GS that would be cool cause I could just pass my 4 down to him and only have to fork out 200.00 for the 64gb

The point isn't to see the pixels.

 

Ok... Let me explain this in "lame man terms"... The evos screen is already so fine that it has surpassed our eyes capability to see the detail in its fullest. The iPhone has a higher resolution and still surpasses our eyes ability to see such detail.

If both phones already surpass our eyes ability to see such fine detail. What is the point of making the detail even finer? We still wouldn't be able to see such a fine detail...

If you two don't comprehend this you never will....

 

I wondered that too when the "retina" display came out if that was it. Like thats the highest resolution phone ever needed since we cant discern even if it was higher resolution anyway?

Still props to apple for having that a year and a half ago.

 

I do see what you're saying. But the extra resolution can be differentiated. Which is why I told you if you had the chance, to put the same web page on both phones and you'd see the difference. It also allows for better textures and shading.

It's not about seeing the individual pixel, it's about what that extra can do when put together.

 

My mom has one, and compared side by side mine is far easier to read with the much larger screen. And I can't see the difference in picture quality other than the fact that the iphones backlight makes it a little brighter with a slight blueish hue compared to mine.

And second note.. we are talking about a phone here... How clear must it be to see someone is calling you?
