I love mine. It doesn't really need to be any wider. Fits in the hand perfectly. If you type with it sideways the keyboard is also larger due to the length.
Much faster than my 4. I can't say how much faster than the S, though. It was worth the upgrade.
I get LTE in my town as I'm 20 miles from Boston. It's fast but I wouldn't say I notice it being much faster than 3G on my 4.
Battery life is the mostly the same. Maybe a little worse. But as all phones is based on usage.
