Mr. Clarkson kind of hit the nail on the head with the first segment on the most recent episode. "KISS". Still waiting for the first auto manufacturer to design their way out of this mess - because TG's solution isn't it.

 

Why does Top Gear America suck so much compared to the UK version?

Is it the presenters, the script, or what?

 

Budget.

 

Budget, and time. Uk's been around longer (early TGUK was dire), and not having to slice your show up for commercial breaks helps flow A TON.

 

the hosts suck... The host of a show should be someone you want to meet and ahng out with... none of the TGUSA guys seem fun to hang out with.

 

I wouldn't mind hanging out with either one of them.

Also, when people ask me why the new Chevy trucks suck, I'm going to point them at the old Navy K30 pickup Adam was driving. That's the look Chevy is trying to emulate with the new Silverados, and they are failing miserably.
